Even his meals would be dictated to him, he couldn't order out for steak every night.

They would probably vet a chef to prepare the equivalent of prison food for him.

His showers would be limited.

Trump will be subjected to house arrest on Mar A Lago property and,

will play golf everyday.

You can't put a president in jail, it would be a national security risk.

If a president is unable to perform his duties the 25th Amendment is invoked to select a replacement.

Trump could be tried and convicted of a state crime, sentenced to serve time, and then replaced under the 25th Amendment. He would be unable to pardon himself from a state crime such as he is charged with in New York and likely soon in Georgia.

There is no automatic universal 'Get out of Jail Free' card for Trump.

Jail/prison is not a safe place.

Besides, Trump is guarded by secret service and they overrule any prison policy which would make it a nightmare for them.

Trump could never be handcuffed, he couldn't eat the prison food because it's prepared by prisoners, they couldn't order him to do anything if the SS thought it was a risk.

The judge has the right of where he serves that sentence however.

Sometimes that is true; and there is no precedent for how to handle such a situation. But if a law prescribes that incarceration within a prison facility is mandatory then a judge would have no power to disregard that. It might also be judged that the sentence be delayed while the convict serves a term of elected office. And then upon completing that term of office, the convict could go straight from the White House to the Big House.
