Ordinary flu - 20,000 - 60,000 deaths with an average of 37,461 over the last 9 years. We currently have 90,000+ deaths from Covid-19. That means it is over twice as deadly as flu based on full flu seasons compared to 3 months of Covid-19.
Then we can look at the worst month for flu in the last 10 years vs the worst month for Covid-19. Worst month for flu - 13,000 deaths. Worst month for Covid-19 - 50,000+ deaths. So Covid-19 is more than 3 times as deadly as the worst flu.
13,000 x 3 = 39,0000 ... 50,000 is more than 3 times 13,000
Then if we look at the worst week for flu vs the worst week for Covid-19 Worst week for flu - 4,000 deaths. Worst week for Covid-19 - 18,000+ deaths. So Covid-19 is more than 4 times as deadly as the worst flu.
4 x 4,000 = 16,000 ... 18,000 is more than 4 times 4,000

Except the death rate is more than double the flu with this virus. It is 4 times flu for the worst week so far and we will be double the worst flu season before the middle of June. Flu goes away in April. This didn't.
