It's OK because this is America. Really there are too many restrictions on weapons and carrying in America.
Times have certainly changed.
I used to walk down the streets with my .22 and the cops would pass by and be jealous because they weren't doing what I was like they used to.
At least it brought a smile to their faces as they remembered being kids and doing the same thing.
Things like that have been lost in a lot of America and it's a damn shame.

What country did you grow up in? Every boy (almost) from 9-11 years old got a .22 when I was growing up.
Hell, they reduced the amount of guns allowed per vehicle to only 2 when I was in High School, and people were pissed!

While it would have slowed the shooter down, a locked door was hardly a deterrent given the mass of ammunition he had. He could have shot the door off its hinges if necessary, or shot a hole in it, reached in and opened the door from the inside.
The resource officer might well have made a difference.
What really has me puzzled is where did an 18-year-old get the funds to buy two AR-15 rifles and over 1000 rounds of ammunition? That's about $3000 worth of firepower, give or take. How was he able to pay for all that?
