"Florida Gets Welfare From New York"

Another EXCELLENT point I had forgotten. Yes, the dishonest morons on the left probably do not distinguish the type of federal dollars going to these states and most of that is probably defense spending.

Fla has 20 bases and receives $17.6 billion in defense spending. So much for the liberal myth.

Yes, you most certainly are.

No, they are not no matter how many times you bloviate that like a moron.

That still does not make your asinine and laughably stupid argument you dumb fuck. The money southern states get from the Fed does not go to Republicans; but to BLUE shit hole cities controlled by the Party of the Jackass.

The notion that they are RED makes you look like an idiot. But then, that is the one thing that is consistent about you; you're a fucking idiot.

Apparently you do.

Ho Lee fuk you are a stupid stupid piece of human crap

while most don't some do you need to get an education before you embarrass yourself again

Ok. Except most don't pay federal income taxes.

"So you shouldn’t file a tax return for the U.S. if you meet either of the following requirements: [H & R Block]

1. You’re a bona fide resident of Puerto Rico during the entire tax year, and
2. Your only income is from sources within Puerto Rico."

and on the subject

democrats are pushing to let Peurto Rico become 2 senate seats, uhh, sorry I mean a state.

Rico gets 1.3 billion in food stamp money every year for a population that 44% of it's people live under the poverty level.
AND
they are bitching that the additional billion+ we gave them after the hurricane is gone, they need more

Who's bright idea was it to bring an island 2000 miles away onto our dole,
and who on Gods green earth would push to make them part of the US

Porto Rico doesn't pay income taxes to the US government, yet we spend money on them just the same as any state. By making them a state, we'd get income taxes from a population that is now nothing but leeches. Granted, it wouldn't be much, given what a shithole the place is. And, granted, their two new senators would work very hard to turn the the rest of America into a shithole. We should eject them and let them be an independent shithole country.

First off, I know it is difficult for individuals as yourself to understand, but people living in PR are just as American as you are, or the people who live in DC who have less representation than the State of Wyoming half its size

Secondly, the topic is red states mooching off blue States, or to put it more precisely, red state socialism practiced by the same people that say they hate socialism

whata nut-bag

serious question, are you on medication?

"New York doesn’t add to Florida’s bills—we pay them.

New York really doesn't subsidize Florida. Florida is a retirement state. The people in Florida paid taxes while living in NY, or other states, before retiring and moving to Florida.

Florida does not have a state income tax. They get hurricanes. When they happen, all the taxpayers in America pay to fix the damage. They should have a state income tax and build a fund to help themselves. They should also build one to help them fight global warming. Florida will be hard hit by Atlantic Ocean rising. They are waiting for us all to build their protections.

How many military bases does New York support versus how many bases does Florida support? That is where some of that money goes sport. It only stands to reason New York is rich so by liberal logic it only stands to reason New York should pay more. LMAO.

Are you one of the posters who SCREAMS when other posters say the RICH should pay more? So now you are agreeing, they SHOULD?

PS YOU do know that states with a lot of military bases add a lot more of the 'working class' to its population? Yes, families (not the majority--but too many) in the US military qualify for food stamps and free lunch programs. Many enlisted rent. What percentage 3,4-5s, (forget 1's and 2's) even up to 7's can buy houses therefore pay real estate taxes commensurate with LOCAL services provided--including EDUCATION? Housing and food allowances vary widely by zip-code.

(Better have a spouse making a damn good salary!)

:lolup:This is your brain on mentally challenged; don't be a retard.

Who supports all those programs that redistribute federal funds from richer to poorer? Most of the red state reps vote against them.

Plus, a lot of that money going to Florida is in the from of Social Security benefits and Medicare but the payroll taxes they contributed for those benefits is attributed to the states they lived in at the time. Those retirees would be collecting those same benefits regardless of which state they live in (but the red states are warmer).

Make up your fucking minds!

What does this say then think about your question.
"It only stands to reason New York is rich so by liberal logic it only stands to reason New York*should*pay more. "

"New York doesn’t add to Florida’s bills—we pay them. In 2017 Florida took nearly $46 billion more from the federal government than it contributed, making it the No. 2 “grantee” state in the nation. New York is the No. 1 “donor” state. In 2017 we gave the federal government $36 billion more than we got back. The curtailment of SALT deductibility takes this gross imbalance and supercharges it, costing New Yorkers another $14 billion each year."

"But SALT was never about economics. It was about politics. Its explicit purpose was to weaponize the federal tax system against predominantly Democratic states. The 12 states most hurt by the limitations on deductibility all voted against President Trump in 2016."

"GOP purports to oppose policies of “redistribution” but President Trump and the federal government are the true redistributors of wealth—not from rich to poor, but from blue states to red states."

He could have also added income redistribution from the middle class to the top, amazing how the same people now supposedly hate socialism are in fact some of the greatest proponents of income redistribution

It is Red State Socialism, fact, southern red states living off the blue states dime, yet they'll be the first to label another a "socialist" or "commie," the hypocrisy couldn't be deeper

Not to mention Federal subsides on their homeowner flood insurance

Not just the panhandle, drive from Jacksonville down to Tampa and you'll see the same, the Villages isn't noted as a haven for left of center retirees
