Feminists applaud Trump for support of Iranian dissidents

look at Iranian hegemony and expansionism under Obama.
Obama distinctly would never use "linkage" not even to free American prisoners in Iran.

You're wasting your time on Dame Hagatha. She won't even give symbolic support to the sisters in Iran because Trump.

Obama's abject appeasement of the mullahs to get his terrible nuclear deal is about all that's left of his legacy, so she's anxious that the theocratic regime stays in power, no matter how many women are beaten, jailed or killed.

part of that is the Iranian posture towards the US.
SA doesn't have a "death to America" day for ex.

Like it or not there is a sectarian divide in the ME, and the 2 foremost powers despise each other
( to the point Iran is funneling rockets into Yemen to use against SA).

Unlike Obama who thought his magnificence could change this dynamic, Trump understands the realpolitik he cannot
The Saudis just shot down one of those rockets a couple of weeks back.

Because I read his tweets on Iran and they are about bashing Obama for the nuke deal.

Trump was right to bash the deal.

Obama naively thought the mullahs would spend their billions to benefit the Iranian people and instead it went to finance Iranian militarism in Yemen, Gaza and etc. It’s amazing, that practically every foreign policy move under Obama in the region somehow advanced terrorism.

And no, I’m not suggesting a conspiracy theory. Obama/Hillary/Kerry were just that incompetent.

At any rate, the Iranian deal is only part of the protestors gripe. If I was an oppressed Iranian woman I’d wonder why western feminists weren’t out in our streets protesting the regime.

Or at least backing Trump when he calls for the regime to be overthrown.

The regime stages protests. That’s where ‘death to America’ comes from. It’s not necessarily something the average Iranian advocates. In fact, there are plenty of Iranians left who remember when Iran was a vibrant place under the Shah.

As I understand it the current protest is a rank and file movement that began in outlying areas.

What are Y O U doing about the oppression of women around the globe? You think it's not a humanitarian issue?

I'm supporting policies against their oppression. Like pressuring Iran, and getting rid of that terrible nuclear deal.

What do liberals do about it?

Six countries signed the nuke deal. The deal will still continue if trump pulls the US out so what exactly is your argument? And I'm not going to repeat for the nth time all the details on how Iran was given back its own money and Obama wasn't robbing our treasury.

Guys like you think that supporting oppressed women in other countries is a feminist issue, not a humanitarian one. Why isn't everyone out protesting harsh and brutal regimes in every country, not just Iran? Furthermore, what is trump doing to support those women, or any oppressed group, besides typing out a string of tweets?

Smart men and women see through trump's childishness. He doesn't give a rat's ass about humanitarian issues because he lacks the empathy chip. I'd like to know how much money he's donated toward alleviating human suffering around the world. People like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Oprah actually put their money where their mouth is; trump sends out insulting tweets.

Nothing's ever going to change until you (pl.) stop with the divisiveness, and especially stop criticizing women with a made-up issue.

IOW you stand up for oppression by supporting trump and posting on forums. I guess it never occurred to conservatives that many people, and not just Americans, thought the Iran nuke deal was a great idea.

This isn't just about Obama, five other countries signed on. Has trump criticized Putin for the deal?

yes exactly..younger Iranians ( who frequently call themselves "Persian") are not getting economic opportunities
and see the regime as out of touch

US took the lead. Kerry was instrumental, the UN P5+1 group wanted the deal because of Iranian business expansion.
Nukes are not the problem with Iran - their expeditionary forces, and exporting of terrorism is

You foolishly think that "opposing Trump" by posting on forums is meaningful, just as you have a childlike faith in opinion polls and the alleged impartiality of DEMOCRAT-infested media.

You want the mullahs to stay in power because you want to protect the last vestige of Obama's legacy at all costs, and you don't care who dies as long as your hero's deal stays in place.

 You must be desperate for attention that you have to stoop to posting this drivel.

That benefited women also, which is my point. This is a humanitarian issue, not a feminist issue.

The common perception, rightly or wrongly, is that women will march if they feel that they might have to pay $5 a month for birth control pills but stay silent on the plight of women in the Middle East and Asia.

I'd be a lot more impressed if Gloria Steinem, Naomi Wolf or any number of third wave feminists spoke out but I must have missed it.
