All veterans should be honored for their willingness to sacrifice, because when they enlisted they had no idea if they would get lucky and avoid a war. But I have to question the status of someone when they are less than honest about their service.

Patches and pins are fine. Bathing suits, underwear, and beach towels are disrespectful. You throw a beach towel on the ground, and then walk on it, is that really what you want to do to our flag?
Maybe I am just a true conservative, and need to get with the new times where old rules for respecting the flag no longer apply. But I still believe in the old rules.
I am definitely against disrespectful flag burning. I think you will find most liberals are against disrespecting the flag. The question is whether to make disrespecting the flag a crime.
I am for the respectful burning of a tattered flag to properly dispose of it.
