Death by Corona numbers explode to 61

One wonders if they unable to apply logic to what is going on, don’t want to or are hoping for a catastrophe?

The lack of testing has ZERO to do with who dies and who doesn’t. If this were truly a global killer we would be seeing a HUGE spike of unexplained deaths due to respiratory failure. We have not.

Absent a test, these deaths would have been chalked up to the flu and nobody would have blinked.

The hysteria is unreal

The lack of testing has a lot to do with the mortality rate.

A John’s Hopkins professor thinks the case number could be as high as 500,000. Panic enthusiasts think that is good news but it’s just the opposite because that almost guarantees a low mortality rate. Very likely below 1%.

And if it comes in that low, all of this was done over a virus that’s on par with the seasonal flu.

Or put it this way, if the numbers are going to jump to Plague like numbers—they are going to do it real soon. In fact, they should have done it by now but the Death by Corona numbers are barely worth mentioning in a country this size.

I think they pressed the panic button but we’ll know for sure, soon.

You sound disappointed that he was wrong....

Indeed. Brad* himself has made several predictions that later proved to be optimistic. I'm sure I can find a few.

Doubtless he will splutter "I'm not the president, though", if he can spell all the words correctly.

Did Obama assure people that the numbers would be at 0 in a couple days?

BTW, this is very different, much more contagious and likely more deadly if there is a spike.
Additionally, even if Obama fucked up, that does not make it okay for Trump to fuck up.

What you said about H1N1 while defending Obamunism, you dishonest, hypocritical hack:

Why the hype? What is it about this flu that sets it apart from other flu's?

I guarantee it lol.

But why is the death toll so low? Could it be possible we’re dealing with a virus that is less lethal than the common flu?

Don't understand why it is so difficult for you to understand that there is no prevention methods avaliable for this virus, there is no vaccine

With no vaccine, kinda difficult to tell an individual not to worry about an illness spread thru social contact that might be less fatal than the common flu

The medical professionals will determine who needs testing.

Testing for COVID-19

"Call your doctor: If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.

If you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 or you are a resident in a community where there is ongoing spread of COVID-19 and develop symptoms of COVID-19, call your healthcare provider and tell them about your symptoms and your exposure. They will decide whether you need to be tested, but keep in mind that there is no treatment for COVID-19 and people who are mildly ill may be able to isolate and care for themselves at home.
If you are at higher risk for serious illness

People at higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19 should contact their healthcare provider early, even if their illness is mild.

Older adults and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness.
If you are very sick get medical attention immediately

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:

Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
New confusion or inability to arouse
Bluish lips or face"

Its following the Italian/Chinese trend lines. But I hope you are correct.

Has any nation on the planet tested people WITHOUT symptoms?

Of course. When South Korea was testing over 10 K a day, they were doing medical research. China did it too. We have not begun to do anything large scale yet. But we will. Anyday now. The tests are coming by the millions and billions. maybe tomorrow. Maybe not.

I heard that it is unclear if there is any sort of self-immunity that an individual develops if they get this and then recover.

Experts cannot tell you that if you get this once, and recover, that you can't get it again and again.

It's not like the flu.

66.

Don't lie. That's 10% off. Good news is is under 2%. Bad news we're just cranking up testing.[/SIZE]

There are plenty of prevention methods and they’ve been implemented to vast detriment to our economy.

These steps are not an overreaction. The coronavirus is out of control of in Northern Italy. As of 6 p.m. local/1 p.m. EST on March 10, there were 15,113 total cases in Italy, with 12,839 active cases, 1,016 deaths and 1,258 recoveries. And there were 162 total cases here in Rome.

Divide 15,113 into 60.36 million. Divide 1,016 into 60.36 million. It's a NOTHING burger.

According the the data I've seen, the South Korans have tested a tiny fraction of their total population, with is over 58 million. The decline in new cases in South Korea and other Asian nations is being attributed to closing their borders and social isolation, not testing people with no symptoms.

If you believe anything the Chinese Communist regime says, you might be even stupider than your posts say you are.
