One wonders if they unable to apply logic to what is going on, don’t want to or are hoping for a catastrophe?

The lack of testing has ZERO to do with who dies and who doesn’t. If this were truly a global killer we would be seeing a HUGE spike of unexplained deaths due to respiratory failure. We have not.

Absent a test, these deaths would have been chalked up to the flu and nobody would have blinked.

Makes total sense to me that it makes no sense to you. Nothing is going to click for you that you don't want to believe.

Most people are not going to get tested. Many can have this and exhibit no symptoms. That means they are going to think they are fine, not practice social distancing, and they will spread it to others. Somebody else gets it and it kills them.

Even now that we are finally rolling out massive testing too late, people are being advised not to go get tested unless they have serious symptoms. That means most cases are not going to be counted or reported.

The only thing which is unknown is whether you'll get it (the concept, not the disease,) when the death tolls rise beyond the figures you're making fun of.

But don't feel bad.

This denial is very common on the right.

The right has been practicing denial for years.

It is no big surprise that is what they are going to embrace at a time like this.

If denial is your only tool, then everything looks like a 'stupid leftist panic, nothing to worry about.'

I hope you are not strongly in the market. If so, don't plan on taking anything out for a very long time now or you'll lock in your losses.

It is perplexing that all these supporters of the president are ignoring his words, though.

He said this is a national emergency.

That is meaningless to you?

Well, I guess if you are determined to deny things you can deny that too.

But you're not following your leader. I thought he had the answers to everything.

How is it that he is so great, but only when you choose to accept what he is saying when it suits your narrative...

Running low on substitute adjectives for ‘creep’ and ‘crawl’ so I went with the sarcastic angle in the OP title.

Related news: at least one doctor thinks the CHINA virus has already been in WV since there have been a cluster of people with flu like symptoms that tested negative for seasonal flu virus over the past 6-8 weeks. Could easily be true and if it is, the virulence of the virus is unremarkable with respect to the vast majority of people.

Also, if true, the actual number of Corona cases is a lot higher than the number of confirmed cases, nationally. This is probably what prompted the expert in OH to speculate that OH could have 100k cases of the virus.

But if all of this is true, look at the number in the OP title—and think.

I heard that it is unclear if there is any sort of self-immunity that an individual develops if they get this and then recover.

Experts cannot tell you that if you get this once, and recover, that you can't get it again and again.

It's not like the flu.
