Corona Virus Peak Watch Thread

Another 100,000 New Cases.

People who are trying to blow this off are very tragically mistaken.

COVID is a serious threat to American lives.

We climbed above 16,000 Critical and Serious patients.

Hospitals are reaching capacity in many areas.

This is no drill.

This is a serious pandemic.

Hello Controlled Opposition,

If we ever get past Covid, looking back, we may find that the most significant error we made was politicizing a virus.

It's so true. It never had to happen, but it did. Trump did that. He viewed the coronavirus in terms of the way he approaches everything else.

He looks at something and says: "How does this affect me and my image?"

And then: "What can I do to take this huge story, with all this attention, and make it about me?"

That was when Trump decided to try to 'manage' the coronavirus story.

What he didn't realize, what he totally missed, was that a worldwide pandemic was too big a story to try to make it all about him. He tried to politicize it, and only succeeded in dividing America into his ardent followers, and everyone else. He spread his nonsense, his followers latched onto it, and that prevented the timely unified response which would have been most effective. That allowed the virus to spread far and wide in the USA when it never needed to be so bad.

And with Trump, he never owns up to his mistakes, never takes responsibility for what he's done. When the virus got out of control, and it was clear that politicizing it was a tragic mistake, he blamed others for politicizing it. And naturally his followers latched right onto that and believed him.

No other disease has ever been politicized as badly as this one.

AIDs was just a warm up, the way Gays were attacked.

Now, the world has accepted homosexuality, and eventually, Trump's legacy will be having presided over the worst pandemic ever to hit the USA, and totally blowing the government response.

You are politicizing the virus. The Covid viruses find humans tasty. Your own accounting shows that the Biden administration hasn't defeated it.

I know two people who have recovered from it and one who has died from it. All are Cambodians.

No, the virus was politicized the moment Trump decided to "play it down."

Every misfortune from COVID is traced back to that initial choice.

Had Trump and you taken this seriously from the beginning, we could have been the only country in the world to not suffer the pandemic.

But you couldn't fucking control yourself, and neither could Trump.

Hello Controlled Opposition,

I am advocating for unity in a national approach to our coronavirus response. We are all on the same side in this. COVID doesn't care what the politics of it's hosts are. For humans to have the best effect in fighting this bug, a unified approach is logical. That can only come from government, and we have to listen and comply.

There is nothing political about the virology.

We need to get together and decide what is the best approach, and we all need to commit to it.

The way we, as a nation, are organized is through our government. There is no other entity that we will rally behind besides our government.

Individuality is doomed to fail as an approach to a pandemic. We must have a unified plan. It is only logical that we allow our government to determine what is our best approach, and that all of us do our best to comply.

This is a case were we must depend on our government, and follow the directives from our government. This is why we have a government. For situations exactly like this.

Now is the time for people to show how much of an American they are. Now is the time to rally around the flag. The American flag says: "Follow the CDC directives!"

I know 2 who have died and one who barely survived (not including a few who showed little signs of the infection). All are white Americans.

Geez, sounds like they should have gotten the vaccine!

Instead, they listened to you...now they are suffering because of it.

And you still won't change your approach.

They contracted it and died before the vaccine was rolled out, not that it's any of your business, simpleton.

Just goes to show, you open your mouth and spew nothing but ignorance. Stupid imbecile.

Hold on...

"WE" didn't politicize the virus.

TRUMP did.

The GOP did.

Conservatism did.

Fox News did.

"WE" are not inclusive of those assholes.

Rather than just saying that both sides politicized it, I will pose a question to you. If this pandemic is still in place two, three, or four years from now, will you ever see it as Biden's fault?

You're so smart, paleface.
