A little goof by USA Today - I think they need to check their numbers:
"Today's numbers: The U.S. has recorded more than 19,000 deaths and 4.8 million cases of COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins University."
While it is true that the USA has recorded more than 19,000 deaths, the number is way over that. At least 140,000 more deaths than that 19,000 figure...
