Corona Virus Peak Watch Thread

I am sticking to both of my predictions.

A million Active Cases by the 10th.

100,000 deaths by the 20th.

If I am wrong I will admit it.

The Active Cases extrapolation is right on track.

The deaths appear to be slowing down. I might be wrong on that one. I hope so. We shall see.

Both predictions are based on extrapolations of existing graphs.

I am not the only one talking about that.

And if I recall correctly, you were denying that covid spread in NYC would explode before it actually did. Nobody can erase your regrettable thread mocking that deaths had 'exploded to 61.'

You might be interested in a thread I began just yesterday, with credible main stream links discussing explosive growth.

No Peak Yet. Up To 3000 Deaths Per Day Coming; 200,000 New Cases Per Day...

I presume you will want to dismiss it all as fake news, but I don't know. Check it out and let us know how you deal with that kind of information.

It would be awesome if my predictions are wrong.

Sadly, it looks like the first one, a million Active Cases by the 10th is drawing closer and closer to being correct.

Only about 30K to go in 5 days (as of today, the following numbers go up until yesterday: )

Here is a visual of the Active Cases curve:

There does not appear to be much chance it will not reach the million mark soon.

But it is nice to see the numbers rising a -little- more slowly the last few days.

Edit: The reason that attachment is not showing is because Worldometer has stopped showing the graph of Active Cases. They still list the figure in their data, so it is a good thing this thread has captured those figures each day. We still have the information.

Let me see if I can recover that last day it was available from my downloads:

It should be instantly clear with this visual that we have not reached a peak in Active Cases.

A simple mathematical extrapolation, performed on 5-1-20, projected we would reach this figure by 5-10-20.

And here we are, 8 days later, and we have already reached the Million Active Cases mark.

The numbers don't lie.

The president does.

Obviously, we have not reached the peak of Active Cases yet.

Some day we will.

We all look forward to topping that peak, and seeing the numbers taper off, leading to that glorious day when there are no more Covid-19 cases.

And that peak day will come.

But for now, we need to keep on social distancing and being smart about how we conduct approach to the coronavirus.
 
If this administration and government is as fucked up and inept as you keep whining it is then we are all fucked and might as well totally open the country back up quit wearing masks quit social distancing quit looking for a vaccine or cure and just fucking bend over and kiss our asses good bye! Because we will all be dead anyway. Fucking losers

The source of the virus from China is China. They lied about the source and their number of fatalities. They would not share data with our health professionals that might have mitigated their virus from China. They nailed shut the doors of those with the virus from China They did not stop flights out of China and the virus from China spread around the world.

China must be held accountable for the hundreds of thousands of deaths and the economic loss around the world.

Count on the far left loon apologists to defend China.
 
I made two mathematical extrapolations on May 1st.

One of them predicted that by May 10th, the USA would reach one million Active Cases.

That turned out to be correct. The figure was reached yesterday. Today is the 9th.

The other extrapolation predicted that the USA will reach 100,000 deaths by May 20th.

I stand by that one.
