Can you point to one real lie Trump told, with the exact quote and link?

Donald Trump has made hundreds of false statements. Maybe he did not intend to lie because he is not aware of the truth.

“There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.” President Trump 2018
There are two possible explanations for this assertion.

a) A lie.

b) Trump is so profoundly ignorant that he believed it to be true. But that would indicate stupidity on scale that would disqualify a person from being assistant manager at Piggly Wiggly. Trump is the ostensible leader of the free world, though actually that appears to be Chancellor Angela Merkel. Trump isn't man enough to match her.

Are you saying timshel's post number 5 was fake? If you think so then you are to dam dumb to debate. Those were things trump said and it was recorded. You probably didn't even read it. Other people did, though and realized you are a lying pos.

To humor snowflakes who can’t follow instructions, if anyone posts a Gish Gallop from now on, I’ll answer the first alleged lie on the list. So let’s go to your page and see what they have.

Oh my! A brobdingnagian Gish Gallop! Lefty logic tells us it’s so mountainous it can’t possibly be wrong! The two Trump haters that wrote it - one a student of math and his trusty sidekick, a graphic designer – must be real experts on Trump and politics. Gallop your huge gish over and envelope us in its gooey gishness! Gaaaagghhh…

Jan. 21 “I wasn't a fan of Iraq. I didn't want to go into Iraq.” (He was for an invasion before he was against it.)

Their link takes us to a page that provides a non-working sound bite, and the statement: ‘In 2002, Donald Trump Said He Supported Invading Iraq. "Are you for invading Iraq?" Howard Stern asked him, and Trump answered, "Yeah, I guess so."’

The useless schmucks couldn’t supply the date of the Stern interview, a sound bite, or a decent quote. This YouTube provides most of the interview. The relevant part starts at about 1:39. Trump was talking about business and how 9/11 affected the market. Stern took Trump by surprise. The tone in Trump’s voice and his hesitation tells you a lot, when you listen. Here is the correct quote:

Howard Stern: Are you for invading Iraq?

Trump: Yeah, I guess…sooo… um, y’know, I wish it was, I wish the first time it was done correctly.

In comments under the vid, ‘Gaming Palooza Empire’ says, “This recording was captured right after 9/11. Literally everyone supported retaliation without a thought.”

‘Naten Higgers’ replies, “Exactly! Plus, if everyone remembers, if you said anything going the other way, you were immediately labeled a traitor and shunned. You can CLEARLY hear the hesitation in his voice when asked. He was being polite.”

Joel Wayne says, ‘“I guess so...." that's not exactly what I call supporting the Iraq War. Do you really consider that a "yes"? How do you even justify claiming that he supported the war over this sound byte? Is there something I'm missing?? It was definitely a gotcha question. Trump is a business man, do you even realize what starting an argument with Howard Stern over this issue would've done to him back then? Hell, the Dixie Chicks lost their careers. America was thirsty for blood and in a mob-like state. It sounds like in his voice he wants to say a clear "no" but that would open up an entire can of worms. This was before an invasion seemed likely, you HAVE to put this in context of the times. As soon as this started to become a reality that a war actually might happen, Trump opposed invading Iraq, which was completely against the grain of the majority. If anything, you have to give him credit for that. Trump is actually probably the least flip-flopping candidate for President we've seen in decades. Despite how the media want to paint him, he's been pretty consistent with his views since the 80s. Compare this to Hillary who has changed her opinion on gay people and the war pretty drastically, not to mention trade deals and the hundreds of other issues she has changed her mind on. Hillary just goes where the flow takes her.’

Once again, this comes down to nuances and Anglo Saxon communication. Trump says, “Yeah, I guess,” and then a pause, and a long, “…sooo…” which means “Millions are angry so I have to be diplomatic here, but I will put in a clarification,” and then, “…um, y’know, I wish it was, I wish the first time it was done correctly.”

Then we have his remarks at CIA Headquarters, about National Security & Defense, issued on: January 21, 2017. Trump said about 2350 words, and I will paste about 5% of them (about 125) below. The part in question is in red.

At a certain age, I remember hearing from one of my instructors, “The United States has never lost a war.” And then, after that, it’s like we haven’t won anything. We don’t win anymore. The old expression, “to the victor belong the spoils” — you remember. I always used to say, keep the oil. I wasn’t a fan of Iraq. I didn’t want to go into Iraq. But I will tell you, when we were in, we got out wrong. And I always said, in addition to that, keep the oil. Now, I said it for economic reasons. But if you think about it, Mike, if we kept the oil you probably wouldn’t have ISIS because that’s where they made their money in the first place.

Even this ‘I wasn’t a fan of Iraq’ and ‘I didn’t want to go into Iraq’, is no big deal. Most people who voted to go into Iraq weren’t fans of the idea, and nor did they “want” to go.

Conclusion: It’s a Fake News beat-up. No lie visible. There's diplomacy, politeness, and opinions. No lies.

How many lies have been compiled so far in this thread?

Zero.

Try harder Trump haters. Perhaps you should follow the advice in the OP.

More lies from you to cover up trump lies. You're playing the victim card now. Deflection, deflection, deflection.

WOMP, WOMP, WOMP!

He's just polishing Trump turds.

Trump's comments both before and after the "NOT" claim show that was a lie

Everyone knows it.

From the nyt link that timshel posted

JAN. 21 “I wasn't a fan of Iraq. I didn't want to go into Iraq.” (He was for an invasion before he was against it.)

JAN. 21 “A reporter for Time magazine — and I have been on their cover 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.” (Trump was on the cover 11 times and Nixon appeared 55 times.)

JAN. 23 “Between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused me to lose the popular vote.” (There's no evidence of illegal voting.)

[snip]

The above is only a fraction of the lies it's 3 pages long.

Great galloping Gishes - it's Mr. Snowflake, whose arthritic fingers won't let him post one alleged lie. He uses a Fake News dump truck instead.

I answered the first point in post #383, the second point in post #40 and the third point in post #141, as well as multiple others. Do try and keep up. Perhaps an attempt at reading the thread might help.

I await your next dump truck full of Fake Lies, from which I'll select the first.

"cash! Pay my side action who is extorting me in cash the hush money so that I can later lie about it."

APRIL 12 “The secretary general and I had a productive discussion about what more NATO can do in the fight against terrorism. I complained about that a long time ago and they made a change, and now they do fight terrorism.” (NATO has been engaged in counterterrorism efforts since the 1980s.)

[First point out of Gish Gallop – the rest snipped]

I have to hand it to you. This link goes to another Gish Gallop at the New York Times. The page is filled with reported “lies” of Trump’s. the NATO one is the third one down. When you hand me a Gish Gallop I will do the first on the list. So let’s look at number one. The headline at the top of the page screams:

“Trump Says He Didn’t Know Bannon Until Campaign, but They Met in 2011”

The article is by Linda Qiu. She obviously doesn’t understand the way Anglo Saxons use the word “know”. English may not be her first language. She thinks “know” means meeting someone and knowing “of” them. That’s not what Trump means in this case. When he said, “I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late. I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve,” he means he didn’t “know” know him. As in know him well.

So, no lie.

Now, who is this ding-a-ling Linda Qiu?

She’s a “fact checker” with the New York Times, and before that, a “fact checker” with Politifake.

Here’s a video of a guy fact checking the fact checker, Linda Qiu. The guy shows what a shitty fact checker Ms Qiu is.

As for Politifact.com (or politifake as I call them), they are mostly funded by “Democracy Fund” created by eBay founder Pierre Morad Omidyar in 2011. Pierre Omidyar is a 51 year old French-American billionaire of Iranian parentage.

He owns a site called omidyar.com which, as you can see from their ‘who we are’ page, is involved in helping 3rd world people. To find an example of their left winged lean go to Google and type this in the search:

environmentalism site:omidyar.com

Or click here.

That will search their whole site for the word environmentalism and voila, you get this revealing pdf file.

Here are some excerpts (emphasis mine):

What is a movement?

A range of landmark social movements took place in the twentieth century, including the women’s suffrage movement, the civil rights movement, and the environmental movement, among others.

Of the most influential 21st-century social movements active today, some have been sparked by technological influence (e.g. Occupy, the Arab Spring, #BlackLivesMatter), while others represent an evolution of existing social movements (e.g. the expansion of the movement for climate action to include substantial online activity).

WHY SOCIAL MOVEMENTS MATTER

Social movements have tremendous potential to make impact by galvanizing and channeling collective power. For issues that affect many people, where many people might benefit from societal shifts, or where many people are showing signs of motivation and activity, movements can be powerful vehicles for changing concrete policies (e.g. raising the minimum wage), for changing cultural attitudes and perceptions (e.g. embracing same sex marriage), and also for changing individuals’ behavior at mass scale (e.g. adopting energy-saving practices).

Politifake is devoted to making Trump look like a liar, and surprise surprise, it’s mostly funded by an Iranian/American lefty who supports all the Left winged extreme groups and ideologies. My – how unexpected! Sum Ting Wong, Ms Qiu? :D

Iv'e noticed that lefties are not submitting posts on this thread that demonstrate that they are fully aware of the REAL definition of lie. Everything they post relies on a modified meaning of the word, and they avoid explaining how exactly their entry fits the definition of the word.

Yes, they're like those anti-Trump demonstrators who can never provide a good reason for demonstrating against him. When asked what they are demonstrating about they shrug and say, "Um..."

In my last reply I pointed out they don't understand that "know" has a couple of meanings in English. You could say, "I know that guy," because you've met him a couple of times, but then again, when someone says he's your friend you would say, "What? I don't even know the guy," meaning, "I don't know him properly, or as a friend." Lefties don't understand that. So when Trump uses the word they shriek, "Liar! Liar!" The poor snowflakes didn't learn any English Literature in school. :D

APRIL 29 “When they talk about currency manipulation, and I did say I would call China, if they were, a currency manipulator, early in my tenure. And then I get there. Number one, they — as soon as I got elected, they stopped.” (China stopped in 2014.)

First point in Rat's Gish Gallop. The rest snipped.

This article is another by already discredited ding-a-ling Linda Qiu,

There are no lies listed on that page. Ding-a-ling Linda whines about Trump exaggerating, being misleading, needing context and “true, but..”

I disagree with Ding-a-ling’s claims, and would trust Trump’s views over the bureaucrats she cites any day, since they are the ones that exaggerate, but regardless, these are not described as lies, so this page and Rat's link were irrelevant to this thread.

Rat Robbersson needs to squeeze out of his giant Gish, get on his tricycle and go find one single alleged lie. If he can’t do that, what does it say for his great theory that Trump manufactures a jillion lies every nanosecond?

:D

AUG. 3 “Economic growth has surged to 2.6% nationwide. You have to understand what that means. Nobody thought that number was going to happen.” (Many experts predicted that.)

[First point in Rat's latest Gish Gallop. The rest snipped.]

As usual, Rat’s Gish Gallop pointed us to a second Gish Gallop, where Fake News USA Today compiled a list of alleged Trump lies by FactCheck.org, another Fake News site. Remember folks, you need to avoid reading Fake News sites.

I'll only do the first point of any Gish Gallop, so we go to the top of the page to see this alleged lie:

At a rally in West Virginia, President Trump falsely claimed that his administration is “bringing back to America” manufacturing jobs “by the hundreds of thousands.” In fact, about 70,000 manufacturing jobs have been added since he took office, federal labor statistics show

The rally was in Huntington, West Virginia, August 3, 2017. You can see the YouTube here. I’ll place script from the 24:30 mark below, with the relevant part in red.

The reason why Democrats only talk about at the totally made up Russia story is because they have no message, no agenda, and no vision. They don't talk about the all time high stock market. They don't talk about reforms to the V.A. Or about manufacturing jobs we're bringing back to America by the hundreds of thousands. They don't talk about the Keystone pipeline that I immediately approved or the Dakota Access Pipeline. Russia story is a total fabrication. It is just an excuse for the greatest loss in the history of American politics. That's all it is. It is just makes them feel better what they have nothing else to talk about.

Once again the Fake News dimwits don’t understand basic English nuances and subtleties. “...manufacturing jobs we're bringing back to America…” doesn’t mean they brought them already. “We’re” means “We are” and “We are” can mean the present or the future. For example, “We are in the bath,” is the present, while, “We are going to Japan next year,” means in the future. In this case he obviously meant as an ongoing process, and it’s clear that is exactly what they were doing. Bringing manufacturing jobs back to America by the hundreds of thousands.

Once again, no lie. Just a bunch of confused, semi-literate snowflakes.

“There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.” President Trump 2018

There are two possible explanations for this assertion.

a) A lie.

b) Trump is so profoundly ignorant that he believed it to be true.

I answered this already, in post #232

Here’s a copy:

=====================================Start copy.

“There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea.” President Trump 2018

Here is the link you couldn’t find.

Yes, the remark was part of a blast of tweets that Trump fired off even as Air Force One touched down at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland outside the US capital and brought Trump back home.

“Just landed – a long trip, but everybody can now feel much safer than the day I took office. There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea. Meeting with Kim Jong Un was an interesting and very positive experience. North Korea has great potential for the future!,” he wrote.

What about it? This thread is an invitation for you to provide an alleged Trump lie. So where is the lie?

======================================End copy.

But that would indicate stupidity on scale that would disqualify a person from being assistant manager at Piggly Wiggly. Trump is the ostensible leader of the free world, though actually that appears to be Chancellor Angela Merkel. Trump isn't man enough to match her.

If you were an adult you’d probably understand that when a POTUS is talking about an enemy like NK, he knows that everything he says is being listened to by them. So he says what he says through that filter. A village idiot might listen and think Trump’s just stating a plain fact for Americans to hear, but anyone with any understanding of international politics, diplomatic relations, and the psychology of war, would know it was far more complex than that. So the village idiot sits in a bar screaming, “Liar! Liar!” while the rest of us roll our eyes at him and wonder how he could be such a witless cock-head.

"There is no longer a Nuclear Threat from North Korea." Is this true? Does Trump believe it to be true? He straight up lied right here by anyone's standards.
