Armed Citizen Stops Shooter at Indiana Mall: GOOD GUY WITH A GUN

Allowing every brain dead idiot to carry a gun DOES NOT DETER MASS SHOOTINGS.

IN has been letting any dumbass carry a gun since July 1st and clearly, it didn't deter this mass shooting.

So since it didn't deter this mass shooting, why would it deter any mass shooting?
The dead shooter had several magazines with over 100 rounds of ammunition. Undoubtedly the body count would have been much higher had not the good guy with gun intervened.

This whole premise is based off very fragile assumptions that someone with a gun is willing to risk their life. Basically, you people watch too many movies. Officers who normally carry a protect and serve duty aren't necessarily even going to what you're expecting random citizens and school teachers do. Maybe grow up and admit red flag laws aren't taking guns away from anyone except those that shouldn't have them.

They say the shooter was shot from a distance by a citizen with no formal training.
He stopped what could have become far, far worse and asshole LV bitches about him. Fucking dickhead.

They are willing to risk their life, as shown here. Do you wish that armed citizen wasn't there to shoot that asshole?

376 officers in Uvalde beg to differ. I wish the guy wasn't able to buy a killing machine. Then there would be no need for a 'good guy with a gun'. Less than 1% of mass shootings are stopped by an armed citizen. So I guess I should start a thread for each of the 99% of shootings that aren't stopped?

If you don't give a kid a gas can and a book of matches, you won't need a fire extinguisher. Get it? Probably not.

1. stop projecting your own cowardice on others
2. red flag laws are designed for karens to get the government to take guns away from people karens don't like

criminals don't follow the laws.

And everyone is not a criminal right up until the moment they are.

Just like everyone is a responsible gun owner, right up until the moment they aren't.

That's a pretty low fucking bar.

Do you hold yourself to that same, pathetically low standard?

Another fucking asshole crying about an armed citizen stopping an idiot with a gun. Don't you scum have any shame?

guns are not evil entities causing people to go out and kill

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Guns are a drug, and just like any drug, people get addicted to them.

And those who are addicted to guns see using those guns as compulsory and sole response to criminal behavior, even if that criminal behavior is non-violent.

You have said yourself that you're willing to murder people over non-violent crimes, so there's a pretty strong connection between the feeling you get holding and/or firing a gun, and the motivation to fire it.

Since your brain is wired to release highly addictive dopamine when you fire that gun, the more you fire it, the more dopamine your brain releases.

So the gun very much causes you to fire it because the gun triggers the release of dopamine in your brain.

You're getting bitchslapped hard and you're too fucking stupid to realize it. You lose...again!

that 'good guy' wasn't open carrying, so there could be no visual deterrent.

First of all, you promised us that allowing any type of carry, closed or open, serves as a deterrent. Except when it doesn't, which is always. What that means is that mass shooter KNEW there was closed carry laws in IN and still proceeded to shoot up the place anyway.

Secondly, you don't know any of that...that's just what the cops said, and as we've learned from Uvalde, cops lie.

Thirdly, that guy was breaking the law by carrying the gun where he wasn't supposed to, and didn't decide to use it until 3 people had already been shot and killed.

Fourthly, IN has open AND closed carry laws, which you have argued here MANY TIMES serve as a deterrent to mass shootings. Except when they don't, which is always.

So before, you said concealed carry would deter mass shootings, and now you're moving the bar again to say open carrying deters mass shootings, except that doesn't happen either since mass shootings still occur in states with open carry ALL THE FUCKING TIME.

I'm not crying about the armed citizen. I think he's a hero. He should not be put in that position. Apparently you are too fucking stupid to figure that out. You laughable gutless keyboard warriors are a joke. You would have run the other way as fast as you could.
