Again, criminals would not have guns if you cut off the supply.

Once you do, the principle of scarcity takes over and guns used by criminals become more and more precious and rare.

Remember, 300,000 guns disappear from you people every year. And 99.999999% of those guns are probably going to be used illegally.

Cutting that supply off will severely limit the number of guns in the hands of criminals because that's from where they're getting their guns.

Most criminals are armed with guns they stole from you, found on the street because you're careless, bought from you because you're greedy, or were given by you because you're stupid.

That's it.

There's not some international cabal of weapons dealers with pop-ups, most guns in the hands of criminals come from people like you.

Because the purpose of the program -that started with your guy Bush the Dumber- was to find out why US guns were used in crimes in MEXICO, and how they got there.

And programs sometimes fail...that's just the way of life.

But those guns that crossed the border back into the US weren't manufactured in Mexico, they were manufactured here.

Bush the Dumber thought the best way to find out how US guns end up in Mexico was to plant and track the guns.

As misguided as that may be, it was really the only way to find out why US guns kept turning up at murder scenes in Mexico.

If you have another way of figuring that out, I'm all ears and I'm sure everyone else would be too.

But I doubt you have any ideas because you're not that kind of person.
