Michelle Obama's Expensive Fashion Rivals That Of Ann Romney

You're still doing it. Why? Are you just that much of a superfreaking idiot?

The entire paragraph is racist you dolt. Unless you subscribe to the notion that poet is all powerful and can label an entire ethnicity as racist, then his comments are racist.

Thank you. How they think I could possibly be racist, when I hang out with white people and express my politics, and they are unmoved, and quite often in "full agreement", with me, is beyond baffling. When white people are being "obtuse" or "bordering" on racism and bigotry, and you point it out to them, and they lose the friggin' minds that, I, would do something so egregious...exactly, how can you begin to have a honest, intelligent conversation about race and racism, if parties are unwilling to admit that they may have a problem or they are being offensive, or racist, when it may not have been their intent. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, and try to win them over. But when they get personal and attack, ad hominem, I'm supposed to sit there and take it?????????????????? Mama didn't raise no fool. And I'm a writer, equipped with a dictionary, and command of the language. Let's go. LOL

Poet... I did not attack you ad hom. You made a comment that no white person can be objective about the Obama's. That is a racist comment. Period. You are basing it on nothing more than the color of their skin. Who are you to say that? Who are you to pass judgement?

When black people are being "obtuse" or "bordering" on racism and bigotry, and you point it out to them, and they lose the friggin' minds

I think the altering from white to black would better describe this thread.

It's all there. Everything needed to counter your own argument. You choose to not read it or include it. Bitch. :)

yes, really... no matter how much you want to shift to a 'but the right does this crap too'... it doesn't change the fact that you don't know anything about the life of the Romneys early in their marriage. You are simply reiterating the rhetoric the left continues to toss out because it fits the 'they be evilz rich people' narrative the left wants for their class warfare.

I am fully willing to condemn the right for blatant falsehoods they spread about the Obama's or any other member of the left.

Perhaps you're unaware of the footage of Mitt Romney trying desperately to interact with average, regular people. He comes across so uncomfortably, that it's painful to watch.
That's called "out of touch". The fact that his team decided to go to war with Hilary Rosen's comments and to make it about "stay at home moms", is also "out of touch".
Him having an offshore account, in the Caymans (is it?), and a Swiss bank account, is further proof of his being "out of touch". Truth be told...he doesn't care about your poor ass. And if you think that he does, bask in the glow, hear?

Zoom. Over your head. You didn't get it....so you speculated....in error. Sad. Pathetic. But ultimately, not my problem. And this is supposed to be our truce, right? How quickly you went back into accusatory mode.

actually it is indeed your problem. You are the one who cannot see your own racist comments. That is what is sad and quite pathetic.

A "racist comment" from your point of view, perhaps, but the God's honest truth. Something true cannot be racist. By definition. Are you stupid or what? If you say all black people are underachievers and incapable of competing with white people. That's a racist statement, because it's not true. There are plenty of black people that are smarter than plenty of white people and have great achievement. If you said, black people, as a whole, have "struggled" in America. That's not a racist statement, because it's true.
If you said, all Mexicans eat only Mexican food....that's a racist statement, because it's not true. Do you sort of "get it", now?
I tried to explain it all to you, but, evidently, not all white people are the same. Not all white people can grasp elementary concepts. Not all white people can elevate their thought to enlightenment. And those aren't racist statements, because it's true.

There has been no other black president to compare President Obama and his family to. He is the first. So any criticism of him, must have a racial component to it, because of who and what he is.... a black man. You can't get around it. I asked you, numerous times for proof of white objectivity, and you ignored my request. I understand why. You can't provide it, because what is actually in a man's mind, is unknown. And unless he is telling the truth, it cannot be ascertained. Are you picking up on my debate skills? I'm providing point and counterpoint. You're providing protest and outrage, with nothing to back it up.
Who am I to judge? Well, let's see. I'm black and Barack Obama is black (for all practical purposes) and Michelle is definitely black. And you're white. Questions?

I don't believe that first ladies have accepted donations from designers since Nancy Reagan got into hot water for it. I believe if they did, it would have to be disclosed yearly. I am not sure about this, and I can't find anything on it. But I'd have to see evidence that her clothes are donated and she doesn't pay for them. I just don't remember this ever being mentioned about anyone other than Reagan who accepted untold amounts of designer clothes and jewelry. But again, that was a bit of a scandal or what passes for one in this country. Of course, her husband was breaking all kinds of laws but the press was more interested in who was paying for her clothes. Personally I don't care one way or the other. THe position. regardless of who holds it, does call for expensive clothes period.

This whole thread boggles my mind. Recall when Obama first took office, Michelle was wearing clothes from J. Crew and other moderately-priced shops, and the righties slammed her for that, saying she was too casual and her clothes weren't befitting her position. Then she wears something "designer" and gets slammed for being above herself and out of touch with the average woman. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Being racially aware is not in or of itself "racist". There is a lot of history that you don't seem to understand. I have no clue as to how to solve that dilemma FOR you. Your attitude is what is genuinely "sad and quite pathetic". You appear to have problems with qualified statements. The problem with that is the statement is still on the board and is qualified to the satisfaction of those actually interested in whether or not it is indeed racist. It is NOT racist.

Yes, I get it. You apparently do not. Because saying 'no white person can be objective in criticizing Obama' is not true. Thus it is racist to say it. Do you get it now? Or are you simply not intelligent enough to grasp the very concept you claim to understand?

I tried to explain it all to you, but, evidently, not all white people are the same. Not all white people can grasp elementary concepts. Not all white people can elevate their thought to enlightenment. And those aren't racist statements, because it's true.

I agree that 'not all' white people can grasp it. Just as 'not all' black people can. You are an obvious example of someone who doesn't get it.

There has been no other black president to compare President Obama and his family to. He is the first. So any criticism of him, must have a racial component to it, because of who and what he is.... a black man. You can't get around it.

That right there is blatantly false. Just because he is black doesn't mean no white person can criticize his job performance objectively. There is nothing to back up your claim. Nothing. While racism will certainly be a part of 'some' white people's criticism, for you to label the entire race in such a manner is blatantly false and thus racist.

I asked you, numerous times for proof of white objectivity, and you ignored my request.

No poet, you have stated that no white person can prove they are being objective in criticism. That is true of everyone poet. You can't prove that you are objective about white candidates any more than any white person can prove they are objective in criticisms of black candidates (or a black President).

I understand why. You can't provide it, because what is actually in a man's mind, is unknown.

ROFLMAO... so you realize that it is unknown, yet you proclaim that no white can be objective (which means you know).

And unless he is telling the truth, it cannot be ascertained. Are you picking up on my debate skills? I'm providing point and counterpoint. You're providing protest and outrage, with nothing to back it up.

LOL... you have provided nothing to back up your claim poet. Yes, I have seen your 'debate skills'. They are somewhat lacking on this topic.

Who am I to judge? Well, let's see. I'm black and Barack Obama is black (for all practical purposes) and Michelle is definitely black. And you're white. Questions?

Yes, how does your being black make you an expert on all white people's objectivity?

You should go back and read his comments again. You don't have a clue. You are simply trying to defend the indefensible with the nonsense above.

You know Christie, I actually forgot about that.

that happens on both sides unfortunately... it is the petty tit for tat bullshit that some of us are referring to.

So... are you able to criticize Obama objectively? Or are you a racist as poet proclaims?

Well i have a long and storied history that I won't get into here, but I am pretty much a ph.d in black studies by way of having slept with a pd.d in black studies, so I feel that I can, yes.

And you? Have you slept with a ph.d in black studies?

As we can see, Superfreak was stupefied by this one!
