Fellow Christians, what does this passage mean to you?

/grins.....and that changed in the 4th Century when the Christians threw them out......because they denied the divinity of Jesus......you can bluster all you want, Unitarians cannot be Christians, by definition, because they reject the existence of a Christ.......

How do you get off saying they deny the existence of a Christ? They do not do any such thing.

Next week Dixie will claim he never supported Cain for the Republican nomination.

They don't believe in Christ Jarod. They actively teach that Christ was an imaginary person. The majority of their churches teach that.

That is simply NOT true. Do you have a cite for your claims because I have provided cites and quotes that show your claims are not true!

I know its not true, they do not have a creed or set of belifes so how could they teach that Christ was an imaginary person? The Church does not have a set of belifes, its up to the individual members to decide what to belive. Clearly some would say that they do not belive in Christ or that he was an imaginary person, but plenty would say differently. The church has not set doctrine.

Right. Sure ditzie... you are a fucking idiot, we get it. 1/3 does exist.

relative to you ditzie, everyone is intelligent. 1/3 does exist.

So in addition to your hatred of Catholics you are also a homophobic coward? 1/3 does exist.

Look you little retard, I have never stated that 1/3 doesn't exist. The 1/3 jokes were cute and amusing the first year, they became a bit annoying the second and third year, but now... they are just sad and pathetic, and make you look like a complete joke. It's kind of like wearing a Members Only jacket... YOU are the only one who thinks it's "cool" anymore!

I just wondered if SF was a closet homo... that would make sense, since he's also a closet Catholic... in fact, that explains a lot, actually! I don't think Catholics condone gayness, but maybe they do now, they tend to lean to the perverted side. Maybe it's time for SF to come out of the closet and be the Gay Catholic he has always wanted to be? I'm just trying to help him overcome his fears.

I still like the 1/3

1.) Google: Are Catholics Christians? ...see what comes up!

2.) Proving there is no comparison between Islam and Christianity, when it comes to treatment of women.

You are a complete idiot. Stick to what you know best, it's not Catholicism.

"I have an Evangelical friend who asked me:

"what is the difference between Catholics and Christians?"

I had to scratch my head for a few moments because it never occurred to me that some people didn't think Catholics are Christian. I think it is good that Evangelicals and Catholics have lively discussions on the interpretation of Scripture. Evangelicals do that with each other all the time. That's why there are so many different denominations. However, I have a big problem with any organization that says "Catholics are not Christians," because they are ignoring the history of Christianity. The name Christian predates all Protestant and Evangelical Churches by over a millennium. Many Evangelicals who think that Catholics are not Christian may be surprised to learn they accept the authority of several Catholic councils every time they pick up their Bible. The Bible didn't fall out of the sky, spiral bound with an NIV sticker on it. It has a rich Catholic history.

Any time spent studying the Church Fathers will make it abundantly clear that early Christian beliefs were Catholic. Their complete unity over the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is only one example."

You have an argument about it not being a Christian Church, although certantly many of its members are Christian. You were WRONG when you said that they deny the divinity of Christ. So you are changing your statment now from, they deny the divinity of Christ to they are not Christians?

obviously not, since they deny the divinity of Jesus.......the fact that this branch has developed to the point that it no longer believes in anything doesn't mean that by definition, Unitarians do not believe in the deity of Jesus........

That is simply not true. The name is a historical artifact. How would you know what they teach?

It is in their name, by the very name it teaches them that Christ is not the son of God. I know because I know a couple friends who were a part of the Unitarian Church. The church teaches Christ is a fantasy.

The Church teaches absolutly 0 absoluts, but it really does not matter to me what you belive. You can belive what you choose.

"Our Unitarian Universalist faith has evolved through a long history, with theological origins in European Christian traditions. Today Unitarian Universalism is a non-creedal faith which allows individual Unitarian Universalists the freedom to search for truth on many paths. While our congregations uphold shared principles, individual Unitarian Universalists may discern their own beliefs about spiritual, ethical, and theological issues."

Ditzie, no matter how many times you stomp your feet, we are not going to believe you weren't serious when you said 1/3 doesn't exist. Were you 'just kidding' there as well?

Hmmm... ditzie does seem to like projecting his own emotions onto others. Obviously you are a homophobe ditzie. That is sad. You would think a coward like you would be satisfied with just that good old Catholic bashing. But nope... now ditzie wants to show us how homophobic he is as well. For obviously if a person says they will defend gay people from bigots like Ditzie, that must mean that person is gay. Is that your 'logic' ditzie?

1/3 does exist.
