Fellow Christians, what does this passage mean to you?

You are making yourself out to look a complete fool. You are making claims that would be easily proven if true, but they are not true. You could easily embarrass me if you would just post a quote where I said the majority of Christians believe the woman is subservient to the man.

I can see how a weak mind, intent on partisin bickering, might assume that was my argument, but if you read my posts and considered them, you would know that was not what I was argueing. Instead you simply jumped to conclusions so your small mind could fit what I was saying into a box you could understand and fight against. You are smarter than that! You just need to get over the hate.

Can you do it?

Ahhh, Monk and Brother are synonymous?

A Monk is the equivalent of the Nun, they are not Priests but they take oaths and enter cloisters. This is, of course, the Catholic version of things. If one is an evangelical non-denominational super-christian type everybody who is a Christian is a "brother" or "sister"...

Brings incest to a whole new level!

So why are women not allowed to be Catholic Priests? You wacks keep forgetting to answer this question...

Are Episcopalians a Christian-based religion? How about Unitarians? How about United Congregational Christians? All of these denominations allow women to be pastors. Now, find us an example of a moderate Islamic sect which allows women to lead the church? ...And shut the fuck up about Catholics, they aren't Christians anyway.

Catholics are not Christian?

I never claimed Muslims let women lead the church.

Please quote what ever words you are talking about. Show us where I said anything contrary to the statement that the majority of Christians do not believe the woman is subservient to the man. I have not said that the majority of Christians belive the woman is subservient to the man. Admit you lied or post a quote from me.

Dixie made the same claim and failed at showing any such quote. Please try...

Jughead, you do this constantly... there are now about 1000 posts by you on this, in several different threads, mixed in with all the responding posts from others. Every time you have been backed into a corner with your argument, you demand that someone "please quote" something from the archives or admit they lied. I'm frankly tired of your shtick, you're getting on my nerves with it. If you aren't man enough to stand behind your own words, just stop saying them, okay?

You have said "Christianity teaches that women are subservient to men." ....I don't know which thread or which of the hundreds of posts it was, I just remember you posting it, and I also remember you arguing that "submit" and "subservient" are the same thing. However, now that you've been shown to be a complete idiot and fool, you want to pretend you didn't say that, and people are just lying about you. I can't figure out if you are mentally delusional or retarded, it's one or the other.

Nope, Catholicism is not Christianity.

I didn't say you claimed that, I asked you to give an example of it. You pinheads want to keep making direct comparisons between Islam and Christianity, it's time you start backing up your false assertions.

obviously problematic, since they deny the existence of a "Christ"......

Unitarians are still a Christian theology. They don't believe in the Holy Trinity, or that Jesus Christ was the living Son of God, but they do respect Jesus as a prophet of God. It is a distinct difference in Christian belief, but it's still a Christian belief.

1) yes it is, on what basis do you say Catholics are not Christans?

2) I don't have any examples of it.

News to me. What makes you say that?

Catholics are followers of the Roman Catholic Church, not Jesus Christ. Catholicism is NOT Christianity.

Catholics CAN be Christians, it depends on whether they accept Jesus Christ as the son of God. However, the Catholic religion itself, is NOT Christianity.

Gee, I've been Catholic all my life and the only thing that I've ever been taught to follow is Jesus.

1.) Google: Are Catholics Christians? ...see what comes up!

2.) Proving there is no comparison between Islam and Christianity, when it comes to treatment of women.

Addressing your second point... Personally I belive that there is very little to compare Christian treatment of women with Islam's. Both fail to treat them equally, but that is be like saying Jeffrey Dahmer and Henry David Throu are criminals because both broke the law.

Using that logic, Baptists can be Christians, it depends on whether they accept Jesus Christ as the son of God, the Baptist religion itself, is NOT Christianity.

I have said that some Christians teach that women are subservient to men. I have also said that "to submit" to another person is equivelent to "being submissive" to that person. I have never denied saying these two things. I have been accused of having said that Christians belive women are inferror to men, I never said that. I have been accused of saying that Islam and Chrisitanity treat women the same way. I never said that.

If you claim I said something I never said, I will call you out on it! This thread has a handy "reply with quote" feature that allows you to post what you are claiming the other person said. Use it when making claims about what someone said.

That is incorrect. Islam fails to treat them equally, Christianity consistently teaches they are equal, have equally important roles, and are viewed equally by God. It is like comparing Jeffery Dahmer to people who partake in Holy Communion... completely different things.
