Sorry, it looks like there is nothing inaccurate about my statement. Indeed, many Christians do not consider Catholicism to be Christianity. Maybe you disagree with them? Maybe they are wrong? Still... millions of Christians believe it, and that's what I said... nothing incorrect about it.

of course it's inaccurate.......I'm not foolish enough to waste time counting but I expect 10,000,000 of those hits answer the question "yes".......I disagree with you, for obvious reasons......if you persist in being ignorant about it, so be it.......

You are funny when you explode. What did I lie about? You asked for a cite to my claims that Catholics dont ordain women...?

Explode? Let me guess... you are now following ditzie's lead and projecting the emotions you want me to be having onto my words? Do you ever have an original thought Jarod or do you just steal concepts from others because you aren't smart enough to think for yourself.

As I stated, you lied in your claims that Catholics teach their members that women are subservient to men. That is 100% a lie. That is not what they teach. I was brought up as a Catholic and for 25 years, not once did anyone EVER state women were to be subservient. Not once. To the contrary, they taught that man and woman are equal within a marriage. That we should treat each other with respect. Something that your bigotry and hatred of Catholics won't allow you to do. Hence you lie about them because it makes you feel superior.

It varies from diocese to diocese and priest to priest. One priest did not want alter girls, another did not want women readers. Another told me in confession that I was to submit to my husband's will. The other is the attitude towards birth control. I understand the churches position on abortion, but birth control, come on, that is backwards. They speak of equality, but like I stated it is an underlying current in the church. The council is another place where men have more voice than do women. I am sure there are parishes where they are more progressive, but my experience here in Alaska was that women are to be seen and not heard and only seen when they are in their proper places. Here in Alaska a great many nuns are taking the positions that priest once occupied because of the shortage of priests. People still don't take to them and want priests. It is just an underlying attitude that women aren't men.

Yes, some of the old timers want to stick to tradition. There are, like in any large group, the extremists who will say stupid things like you mentioned regarding submitting. But the Church itself does not teach that. The majority do not believe it. Most of it is fighting changing TRADITION... like alter boys, readers, Eucharistic ministers, Priests all being men. Over time that has changed. Pope John Paul II made it very clear where the Church stands.

Their stance on birth control is backwards in my opinion as well. But that applies to both men and women.

I can't speak to the situation in Alaska other than in speculation. But again, I would think it is not a thought of 'women are good enough' but more of a 'I want what I grew up with'. Obviously this is just a guess.

So what do you belive? You certantly seem to be backing off from your position that Catholics are not Christians, you are changing it to some Christians belive Catholics are not Christians....

Oh, it was definitely said tongue in cheek, sorry you didn't catch that. But it was really fun to watch you... someone who usually chooses to take an 'agnostic' stand on most anything religious, defending Catholicism to the hilt... The Pope would be proud.

Like I said, you are full of shit. You got caught once again saying something stupid and now you wish to play it off as 'I was joking'. No intelligent person believes you ditzie.

You clearly don't understand what Agnostic means. Agnostic means that a person neither believes nor disbelieves in the existence of God. Agnostic does NOT mean that a person will not take a stand against ignorant bigots who make foolish comments regarding a religion they clearly do not understand. Also, my being agnostic NOW, doesn't change the fact I was raised as a Catholic and spent 25 years in the Church. So when you make stupid claims (yes, we get it... you are pretending you were joking)... then I am going to call you out on it. My not being gay will not stop me from confronting those who say stupid bigoted things about those who are. My being white will not stop me from confronting racist pieces of shit.

You are funny...

I do not doubt that they did not once say something as policically incorrect that women and men are not equal, but they certantly taught it to you by there actions. When they teach that a man is the Head of the Household and that his say ultimatly is what you follow... When they only allow men in leadership positions... When the only spiritual leaders are men... they are teaching you that men and women are not equal. When the State of Alabama had two different school systems for black and white people, when black people had to sit in the back of the bus, they did not say that blacks were unequal to whites, they just made rules based on that idea.

Discrimination for the sake of tradition is still discrimination. It still teaches young girls and boys the same message, no matter what the purpose.

Again, your ignorance and bigotry is leading you to presume way too much. They do not teach that women are subservient. You are simply looking at SOME of the traditions and proclaiming that those traditions mean they teach subservience. you are a fucking idiot. Period.

and I linked to the listing for Unitarians in wiki, which DEFINED Unitarians by their denial of the deity of Jesus......

and if you're referring to this website, it states they deny the deity of Jesus....
http://www.uua.org/beliefs/history/6903.shtml

No, it states that historically they did, they no longer do. You are so desperate that you have to misstate what they say in the link you porvided, just in the hopes people will be too lazy to click on it. That does not mean they do not. The reason I am certian they do not deny the divinity of Jesus is because they do not take a position on such things. They do not have a doctrine or set of belifes, they belive that people of vastly different belifes can worship together in a church. They welcome members of all different belifes and they do not teach that one thing is correct or incorrect so they do not take a stand on the divinity of Jesus.
