So the Smithsonian can’t show that slavery was bad?

Florida will lead 'revised history' as they have in their schools by teaching slavery was not as bad as many would say because “slaves developed skills...".

You know, because a slave that can cook better, build things, etc, benefits his master better and his master may appreciate it... or not.

Therefore we should not overlook those benefits.

I don't think you can post without lying and pontificating stupid strawmen scarecrow.
And this Joy Reid racist lie that @Jarod is parroting is pure fabrication.

The little Nazi offers no quotes or sources to back his outright demagoguery. No white house directives, no orders to the Smithsonian.

Just innuendo and slander - the typical Nazi shit they always spew,

Trump just being Trump.

The Smithsonian doesn't have a negative focus. It highlights the positive of our history too.

This is just like the efforts to change school curriculums. I guess MAGA gets uncomfortable w/ these kinds of truths.
What truths are being changed in school curriculum?

Since you are wrong, I will tutor you once again.

A White House official told NBC News Tuesday night that Trump plans to extend his review of museums beyond the Washington-based institution, saying he will start to “get the woke out of the Smithsonian” and then go from there.

The Smithsonian exaggerates the bad and ignores the good.
No it does not. Trump wants to change history. History has to show the bad with the good if it is going to tell America's story. Trump, who knows very little history, wants to control it all.
I wondered who was conned enough to think Trump makes sense. It is you, and of course, Top. You rightys are happy to control how American history is taught,

Florida schools won't even let They/Them teachers groom kindergarteners that there are dozens of genders to be chosen at will, Teachers there are forced to stick to the facts of biology - with no concern for the social agenda of the left.

Changing to teaching the truth is a MASSIVE change in public education.

What history has Trump called to be changed?

ROFL - if you Stalinists had a valid point - you wouldn't need to push another Big Lie® such as the outright fabrication that Trump said anything about slavery.

The FACT that you have engaged in another lie campaign shows you have nothing legitimate.

Trump announced last week that the Smithsonian Institution, which is funded by the federal government, was being put under review to make sure its exhibitions are in line with MAGA’s view of American history. The White House’s pressure on the Smithsonian is already being felt.

Good.

The good in America far outweighs the bad...the far left loons do not believe this but that's why they lost last Nov.

They can always leave...Rosie did and the country is far better off.
So the harm of slavery is overblown?

I'm seeing changes here happen already....It's wonderful... There's still work to be done but we are headed in the right direction...

You don't think
there were triumphs And accomplishments That were notable if we'te teaching the history of slavery?
I think there were triumphs aimed at defeating slavery and escaping from it, such as what Harriett Tubman did, but she got cancelled from the $20. In fact the Smithsonian has a big exhibit about her underground rail road. (at least for now)

I do not think there was a good side to slavery. Do you?

And that is part of history... There were a lot of triumphs and accomplishments like that.... So yes good sides to slavery....What's this about cancellation from the twenty dollar bill?

What was the good side of slavery?
There was almost no good side for people that were slaves but even you must admit their descendants have a higher standard of living than most of the black ran countries in the world. But other than that there was nothing good about slavery
