A White House official told NBC News Tuesday night that Trump plans to extend his review of museums beyond the Washington-based institution, saying he will start to “get the woke out of the Smithsonian” and then go from there.
The Smithsonian exaggerates the bad and ignores the good.
Trump announced last week that the Smithsonian Institution, which is funded by the federal government, was being put under review to make sure its exhibitions are in line with MAGA’s view of American history. The White House’s pressure on the Smithsonian is already being felt.
