So you are comparing higher education to gambling in your attempt to try and make an argument as to why you oppose public colleges and forgiving student debt.

Maybe if there were a few more Women's Studies majors, we wouldn't have Republicans blown away by the fact that a 10 year old can get pregnant.

Maybe if there were a few more humanities majors, we wouldn't have the second largest school district in GA replacing an elementary school's logo with Nazi imagery.

Maybe if there were a few more English majors, we wouldn't have so many goddamn functionally illiterate morons like we have here on JPP.

But you know what we could do with a lot less of? Soldiers whose health care and PTSD we have to pay for as taxpayers, even when they're retired.

So at this point, maybe you've already made the calculation that since you haven't ever been on the right side of anything your whole life, it's pointless to do it now when you're so close to the end.

I’ll give you my opinion, for what it’s worth. While there have been a fair amount of airport shootings through the years, they are not as soft a target as they once were. They’re certainly not as soft a target as schools, shopping centers, etc. A person who engages at an airport is almost surely going to get caught at best, killed at worst (and that depends on how a person looks at it). They were already beefing up security levels due to 9/11 and then since 2017 (The Ft Lauderdale airport shooting) there have been more armed security, more police and even members of the national guard serving at airports.



That’s a definite deterrent, in my opinion.

Also there are so many levels of security to go through at an airport to get to where one could do the “most damage,” but most airports I go through have an armed presence even at the first entrance. They’ve made it tougher.

Most mass shooters choose soft targets.

This guy is being castigated by some for carrying where he was “forbidden.” In OK there are certain sign requirements before the owner gets backing from the law to forbid carrying. The place I see the most of these signs are movie theaters. If they don’t have the proper sign, I carry concealed (the only public carrying I am 100% in favor of) in anyway. If they do have the proper signage I comply but I probably won’t be back to that particular theater.
