Actually, the number of deaths is probably well over 200,000 already.

The number of deaths in excess of normal is over 200,000 nationwide. The excessive death pattern has followed the same pattern as COVID deaths across the nation.

China is just a very large Third World Shithole. Expecting them to contain a virus is like asking the Congo to contain Ebola.

Well led First World nations should always be prepared for one of the Four Horsemen. The US wasn't prepared and now we're paying the price. Sure, Trump botched it every way it could be done, but the unpreparedness of the United States of America was decades in the making and blame could be applied to both political parties.

If you were smarter and better read, you'd understand that the USSR rivaled the US in the Space Race, but at the cost of starving their own people while American space program struggled for funds as most Americans bought their middle-class homes, drove their middle-class cars to their middle-class stores and enjoyed their middle-class lives.

OTOH, I think people gravitate to people who have a sense of humor, to someone who isn't always knocking things done, always insulting others and always on the warpath. Sure, we all do it, but sane people, reasonable people, have a sense of humor that includes self-deprecation and honestly assessing their personal and national failings.

People like you and Trump who never self-deprecating and only laugh at the expense of others are often seen as being "deplorable". Good luck in your little foreign shithole, moon. Seriously. I think you need to focus more on improving your life instead of constantly shitting on the lives of others. You'll be much happier in the long run.

No. Are you assuming it is?

No, China, in many ways is Third World. In 1850 New York City was considered very modern and sophisticated, but immigrants traveling west quickly found the edges of that "modern" world. Same in China....or are you going to claim that all or most of China is as modern as that supertrain depot?
