President Trump on Monday revealed he's taking hydroxychloroquine, a controversial drug that he's championed as a potential treatment for coronavirus despite limited evidence from the medical community.

Trump said he consulted with the White House doctor about taking the drug, but it was not recommended for him.

"I asked him what do you think. He said, 'Well if you’d like it.' I said, 'Yeah I’d like it. I’d like to take it.'"
He said he's been taking the drug for about a week-and-a-half and based his decision on positive reviews he's heard from frontline healthcare workers.
"So far, I seem to be ok," Trump said....

Why would he be taking a semi drastic anti-inflammatory drug, to begin with? Either he's just bullshitting again or King Douche just admitted he's quite ill.

Just fucking bizarre. Patients who either refuse further treatment, leave a facility when docs want them to stay and I would assume TAKE SOMETHING that is not good for them, even dangerous can be made to sign a form, an "AMA", Against Medical Advice. Sure seems appropriate for the docs to have him sign it to at least cover their asses. Someone still has to write a scrip. Of course he is Donald Trump! But also remember Trump sues everybody!

Why? Because if he manages to get through the pandemic without getting sick he can say it's all due to hydroxychloroquine. He'll have an "I told you so" moment.

Thirty years ago when I first went working in Thailand, the company doctor gave me some Plaquenil to take with me. In fact you used to be able to buy it over the counter in England.

He's taking it under medical supervision, so you think he should have consulted the medical experts on here as well? As I said I took it before for malaria prevention, it's still prescribed for that but due to overuse the plasmodium parasites are gaining resistance to it.
