Trump SAYS he's been taking hydroxychloroquine though "NOT RECOMMENDED" by WH docs

Trump Likely made that up to protect his wild ass statements about Hydroxy. I can't see a doctor prescribing. That would be stupid. You know Trump lies for fun.

Thirty years ago when I first went working in Thailand, the company doctor gave me some Plaquenil to take with me. In fact you used to be able to buy it over the counter in England.
so why does the US National Institute of Health (NIH) put out misleading statements its risky/dangerous?

They must have an agenda -they parroted the VA study where patients well into the viral storm/immune systems
over -responses were deleterious in some cases.

It has to be taken at first positive test or symptom
Why doctors need to prescribe it in the field as well as just a hospital..

why the dishonest press releases??

He's taking it under medical supervision, so you think he should have consulted the medical experts on here as well? As I said I took before for malaria prevention, it's still prescribed for that but due to overuse the plasmodium parasites are gaining resistance to it.

I said I don't care if he takes it or not, or who he consulted and what they said. I'm just questioning whether it's supposed to be a cure or a preventative. All articles I've read supporting the drug say it should be given to those who are already sick.

it might be a prophylaxis..might not
I know I'd take it if i had it in a heartbeat -such low risk if it did work

I frankly can't see what's wrong with taking it as a preventative, to be honest. Hydroxychloroquine is currently being tried as a preventative measure for healthcare workers treating coronavirus patients in at least four different studies around the world.

s there any danger in taking hydroxychloroquine?

Like every drug, it can have side effects. It is not safe for people who have abnormalities in their heart rhythms, eye problems involving the retina, or liver or kidney disease. Other possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, mood changes and skin rashes.

The leaders of three professional societies in cardiology warned on April 8 in the journal Circulation that hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin could each cause dangerous disruptions in heart rhythm, and they wrote, “There are very limited data evaluating the safety of combination therapy.”

Over all, it is considered relatively safe for people who do not have underlying illnesses that the drug is known to worsen. But it is not known whether hydroxychloroquine is safe for severely ill Covid-19 patients, who may have organ damage from the virus.

Well that's not true, it is used to prevent malaria. As I've already said I used it in the past for just that purpose. It was available over the counter for very many years without all these contraindications in the vast majority of users. As usual it's hyped up exaggerated bullshit from the usual suspects.

Thirty years ago I am pretty sure your doctor was worried because you were going to a country where malaria was a problem. Plaquenil was used at that time to deal with malaria.

Malaria is not a problem in the White House at this time. Trump has been advised that he may unnecessarily be endangering himself by taking the drug. So has everyone else in this country.

He leads a significant contingent of sycophants...who seem to allow him to lead them anywhere he wants. Taking the drug and announcing that he is taking the drug is nuts. I hope his sycophants draw the line here.

Why would he be taking a semi drastic anti-inflammatory drug, to begin with? Either he's just bullshitting again or King Douche just admitted he's quite ill.

He's taking it because several studies have shown that it works as a preventative treatment for coronavirus you dumb fuck.

Nah. I'm a workaholic where Trump and his chumps are concerned.
How's that working out for you? Most workaholics are stressed out, experience poor productivity, see relationships suffer...just not a healthy balance between life and work.....
No hobbies other than the golf?

President Trump on Monday revealed he's taking hydroxychloroquine, a controversial drug that he's championed as a potential treatment for coronavirus despite limited evidence from the medical community.

Trump said he consulted with the White House doctor about taking the drug, but it was not recommended for him.

"I asked him what do you think. He said, 'Well if you’d like it.' I said, 'Yeah I’d like it. I’d like to take it.'"
He said he's been taking the drug for about a week-and-a-half and based his decision on positive reviews he's heard from frontline healthcare workers.
"So far, I seem to be ok," Trump said....

Look up the word "joke" in a dictionary, TOP. And then get someone to explain why I made that suggestion.
