I mean, this case is pretty important because it will set judicial precedent. The motion filed by Barr, as sloppy as it was, did not include any underlying reasons or evidence to lead the DOJ to this decision. And the motion was not signed by the DOJ lawyers -in fact, it wasn't signed by anyone. The reason is because had the DOJ lawyers signed it, they would have to be questioned under the threat of perjury for the reasons why they're dismissing the case despite a lack of evidence to support it, after previously securing a plea from Flynn on those charges. Gonna be awfully hard to do that without committing perjury.
Judge will ask: You filed this motion to dismiss...why?
DOJ: ....
Judge: Well, why?
DOJ: Because Trump wants it.
Judge: Separation of powers, motherfuckers, case proceeds, motion denied
Then, if the lawyers deliberately tank the case, they will be disbarred, held in contempt, or tried for perjury. The question the DOJ won't answer is why are they dismissing the case. The motion to dismiss doesn't contain any reasons or evidence for it. So the judge will undoubtedly ask for it and ask why they didn't present this back when they secured the plea.
Basically, what this case is about is whether or not the DOJ can dismiss a case without complaint or a reason...and if the reason turns out to be that Trump wanted it, well, that's a major Constitutional violation that should disbar Barr and maybe even throw him in prison.
