Nothing is forever so saying that Democracies cant live forever is saying nothing. There is however a known birth-death cycle when it comes to societies....Paglia talks about this.....the fat/soft/lazy/dishonest dynamic is part of the death. More accurately, Trump made a proposal, both sides of Congress had a Yea or Nay vote and then Trump chose to sign the Congressional approved bills to print US almost Four TRILLION dolllars.

Of course nothing lasts for ever. Even the Earth will be dead in five billion years when the Sun becomes a red giant. All we have is the here and now. What's happening now is that our nation is spending our grandchildren's future and "We, the People" don't seem to give a shit about it.

I have been for about 5 years calling it generational warfare, conducted by folks who are sure that they are the bestest humans to ever walk the Earth but who are in fact inferior to many of our ancestors. I have been saying for 15 years that our Grandkids and great grandkids are going to hate us as much or more than we hate the slave owners, and that we will have earned it.

Secondly, and more interesting to me, is that you are so, so sensitive about my 3 to 4 year prediction that you are worried about it yourself as proved by your obsession over the subject.

It's been happening for decades, but the steep curve of spending proves it is getting worse.

Ben Franklin famously bitched about the younger generation thereby proving the older generation commonly bitches about the ignorance of youth. In 1749, Franklin wrote a pamphlet that read:

The present Race are not thought to be generally of equal Ability: For though the American Youth are allow’d not to want Capacity; yet the best Capacities require Cultivation, it being truly with them, as with the best Ground, which unless well tilled and sowed with profitable Seed, produces only ranker Weeds.

Prepare yourself for complete collapse of the Global Economic System....not only do I claim that it is now too late to avoid this fate very soon, but our leaders act like they know that it is toast when they dont even pretend anymore to be trying to be responsible in the spending they enact.

Very bad times are coming, and coming fast.
