Damn and I thought I was the only one Dutch Uncle (Mason's BBF) hated. Ban him from one little thread and he is scarred for live.
Indeed, he knows how to carry a grudge.
Geez, Earl, aren't you going to berate him for a typo? Or didn't you get that far in yur skoolin'?

Unlike you two, I don't hate anyone. I just strongly dislike idiots, morons, criminals, drug smugglers and rapists. I assume everyone is a good person until they prove otherwise. You two are among those who have proved otherwise.

Priceless;)
You're welcome to prove I'm not a retired teacher...Anytime;)[/QUOTE]
(PS: You've simply got to change up the script if you're going to pretend to be someone else;))

The seasonal flu death toll probably averages 20-30 thousand—depending on how the deaths are recorded.
You mean the seasonal flu deaths aren't 60-80,000 like Truth Detector claims? You mean the flu mortality rate isn't 9.9% like Teflon Don claims?
Cause of death can be judgement call in many instances—particularly, when it involves multiple comorbid factors. But nobody pays much attention to seasonal flu numbers till they start to get up in the 40,000 range or higher. And nobody pays much attention to how they are recorded. And it certainly isn’t a political issue.

Go ahead, take a stab at it. Or continue spinning.

You seem to have no clue about how flu deaths are counted by the CDC. According to the CDC, they can count people as having died from flu if they have never been tested for flu or even if they test negative. Do you know why that is?

Maybe they are saving that for July or August when number of American deaths goes toward 70,000.

I am guessing it will hit 70,000 in May. It might slow down enough to hit it in June. Maybe July or August, but that seems very late to me. In May, we should see the beginning of the Florida disaster. Florida is going to be very bad.

Once again, I hope I am wrong, but so far I have not been.

There is a real chance that we might hit 70,000 in April. The number dead is currently doubling every 9 days, and there are currently 40,000 dead... So at current rate of increase, we should see 80,000 dead by April 27th.

I like to give my predictions room. If I say May, or maybe June, I will almost certainly be right. Whereas, if I say April 27th, there is a fair chance I will be wrong.

Also I believe Covid-19's spread will be slightly slowed by the lockdown put into effect several weeks ago. I think we are seeing the effects of that now with a slowdown in the rate of increase, and we will see a continued slowdown. We are still going to 70,000 and beyond, but a little later than April 27th.

I've hedged my bets such giving it until November in the poll but agree with you. Flattening the curve means it stays at the same level of deaths we have now per day, about 1000-1500. Even at 1000/day, 40,000 Americans by the end May.

Going to the beach soon? :)

Trump supporters it's all been fake news,a "hoax"
Hold rallies spend time in big groups hug, kiss!Don't wash your hands, touch your faces!
Just don't come near the rest of us!
Prove Darwin wrong!

Now deaths have accelerated to about 2,000 a day.

April 8
Coronavirus Cases:
426,300

Deaths:
14,622
24,000 deaths in eleven days doesn't seem like the common cold.

I am starting to think Trump supporters lied their asses off when they told me COVID was no worse than the common cold.

April 19
USA Coronavirus Cases:
763,083

Deaths:
40,495

We certainly seemed to go quickly past that "original 15" that Trump said would be down to zero in a jiffy....

Yup. Never believe Trump. He's like a cheap street punk; all talk, no action. That's good news. Despite his claims to do one thing or another, he mostly doesn't. Remember "the Resistance" hiding stuff from him? They don't even bring up certain subjects because he doesn't like them. Despite all of his bullshit, he either can't or Congress won't let him do well over 90% of the craps he spews.
