Running low on substitute adjectives for ‘creep’ and ‘crawl’ so I went with the sarcastic angle in the OP title
Over 73,000 dead in the 50 days since the thread author was chuckling about only 61 deaths
This thread is displaying a notable shortage of chucklebums.

Related news: at least one doctor thinks the CHINA virus has already been in WV since there have been a cluster of people with flu like symptoms that tested negative for seasonal flu virus over the past 6-8 weeks. Could easily be true and if it is, the virulence of the virus is unremarkable with respect to the vast majority of people.
Also, if true, the actual number of Corona cases is a lot higher than the number of confirmed cases, nationally. This is probably what prompted the expert in OH to speculate that OH could have 100k cases of the virus.
But if all of this is true, look at the number in the OP title—and think.

I guarantee it lol.
But why is the death toll so low? Could it be possible we’re dealing with a virus that is less lethal than the common flu?
As of today, about 80,000 Americans have died in the 54 days in the 54 days since the thread author was chuckling about only 61 deaths
But the total should get an asterisk because of the ‘novel’ counting methods used for COVID as opposed seasonal flu totals.
You cannot say that without real numbers that can only be achieved by testing. Almost June and we still do not have testing. The Corona progression followed the predictions by experts who see it as more transmittable and more dangerous. You can counter them with Hannity if you choose. but I won't be dissuaded. I still believe scientists who are into facts and have no dog in the political fight. Although Birx is looking iffy.
Docs are saying Corona is causing Kawasaki disease in kids that get it. The older people are getting kidneys ruined and lungs with permanent damage. This is no yearly flu.
Ah, so it really is 61 then.
80,000*
Give or take a few tens of thousands. Anyone who dies with COVID in their bodies gets counted. Idk what it is about election years and counting. Then there’s the thousands of deaths due to Cuomo’s brain fart of sending COVID patients to nursing homes.

Perhaps you should check out the actual death numbers before you make a fool of yourself. We are seeing weekly death rates that are 125% or more of the average of the last 3 years.
Unless you have some evidence that we have seen a major increase in traffic accidents or fatal heart attacks, I would guess those 13-17,000 more deaths per week are likely from Covid.
