Venezuela failed because it was a one-product country that relied on oil. That makes their success vulnerable to market swings, some which can be manipulated. However, it is not the proper example of socialism. There is none. There are no socialist countries. The rightys just label countries who do not allow the wealthy to rule as socialist. All the European countries are capitalistic. They just spend tax money providing healthcare and a safety net for the people. The American wealthy have no intention of doing that. That money belongs to them. The Repubs are making sure they get it and the Repubs vote for it.

Much of Europe is better than OK as is much of the US.
I have lived in the backwoods of East Texas, and even though much of the infrastructure needs drastic upgrading, I truly enjoyed my years there. I would imagine it is similar to parts of Eastern Europe and rural France and Italy.

Exactly. This was exactly my assessment, and that of everyone else I've known who lived there. Expensive as hell, almost total nanny state control, no choice, no quality, no rights or liberties, no disposable income...just a bunch of neutered, decently well-maintained cattle happy to be ruled.
Venezuela was one of the most prosperous countries on Earth. It exported rice, corn, fish, tropical fruit, coffee, pork, beef, and had thriving industries in petroleum, construction materials, food processing, iron ore mining, steel, aluminum, motor vehicle assembly, real estate, and tourism.
Any other lies you'd like to tell or are you good for now?

Hitler's movement, as you know, was a desperate defence of capitalism, backed by German Big Business, and all states are, in essence, the central committees of the local boss class, used to organise class exploitation. Since working people have no-one to exploit, they will not need a state any longer than they have to fight the capitalist murder gangs, obviously.
