"Make Britain Great Again!"

Here we see the typical English attitude towards the other twenty-five EU countries which are not Germany or France. It isn't the Brits that the EU could do without- it's the Brit TORIES.

If the German government doesn't ultimately call the shots in the EU, who do you think does? The European Parliament, perhaps?

For half a century German politics has been dominated by - in a broad sense - liberals, who have been admirably reluctant to be seen throwing their weight around.

Now the $64,000 question: are you confident it will always be so?

Btw, I have never said that I'm a Brit, and I'm certainly not a TORY.

Not exactly news the EU is famous for trying to shaft nations, but they've met their match this time.

Brexiteer FURY: EU hijacked Brexit negotiations to ‘humiliate and cheat’ UK – former diplomat

THE EU has “hijacked” Brexit and painted itself as the “innocent” party in exit negotiations but its main aim is to “humiliate and cheat” Britain, a British diplomat has blasted.

Brits are all too familiar with the UN situation which the USA has funded for years & other countries want it all contributing little to no UN financing.

Your attitude towards European countries is English Conservative- no matter what you think you are.

Anybody named ' Rod Liddle ' has a lot to prove. Haw, haw..........................................haw.

Hello, Comrade Moon. I said nothing about "the other twenty-five EU countries which are not Germany or France", except that if the German government gave the word they would jump. I added that the German government is the ultimate power in the EU and it may not always be "liberal".

You presented no counter argument, but deduced that I am an English Tory. How do you know I'm not a Manx Nationalist?

Now for a test question! What is the first line on the back of a Labour Party membership card?

By claiming that 26 EU states ' jump' at the word of Germany or France you deride them. That's the typical English Tory attitude- whether or not you are actually an English Tory

No ' counter argument ' to such a nonsense claim is necessary.

Now for a test question! What is the first line on the back of a Labour Party membership card?

It says- ' Printed in China '.

There are twenty-seven countries in the remaining EU, and they all have votes. Any 'calling of the shots' by Germany is inevitably very, very, very ultimate.

The EU is not called the Fourth Reich for nothing, the Germans calls the shots. Why anybody thinks otherwise shows how little they actually know.

And for all these years of US KKK churchstate lynching enforcements thieving US Constitution - old glory - old testament arsonists in that Nazi Germany Third Reich Kristallnacht tradition with a supreme swastika up Uranus court of immaculate drug conceptions thought Fourth Reich culmination came with those burning Bush's 9/11 Al Qaeda "death to the infidels" health care plan patriot act. Wasn't aware the EU took up Nazi economics politics as that more perfect union of the Christian Nation & Islam attempt to nuke Temple Mount to play "man is God".

Boris Johnson has been given 30 days to come up with a solution to the Northern Irish backstop and forge a new Brexit deal with the European Union. Angela Merkel suggested she would be willing to ditch the controversial backstop if the UK can agree a suitable alternative by Sept 20.
. . .

The meeting will put pressure on Emmanuel Macron to open the door to negotiation.

Hmm ... what happened to the other twenty-five, Brother Penderyn?

That's not what Merkel said at all. Merkel CANNOT ditch anything unilaterally- even if she wanted to, which she certainly does not. Macron has just killed off any suggestion of that happening anyway.
The EU is a democracy of 28 states.
