NRA: We shouldn't take rifles away from '10-year-old little girls' on their birthdays

Only in Floriduh

and this article is NOT from The Onion

The NRA itself says the gun its lobbyist wants little girls to have is actually 'for adults.'

The NRA's top lobbyist in Florida argued against a proposed assault weapons ban, complaining that if the law passes, young children might not get rifles for their birthdays.

"How do you tell a 10-year-old little girl who got a Ruger 10/22 with a pink stock for her birthday that her rifle is an assault weapon and she has to turn it over to government or be arrested for felony possession?" asked Marion Hammer at a Friday meeting of Florida economists to oppose the proposed ban.

The NRA and other pro-gun advocates in the state have complained that the proposal, which would be voted on in a referendum in 2020, is too broad, even though a recent Quinnipiac poll showed that 59% of Florida voters support an assault weapons ban in the state.

I received a .410 shotgun when I was 13, a .22 rifle when 14.

Hunted quail, squirrels doves and rabbits.

The age of 10 is too young for gun use.

oh, and NRA members were going to buy their CEO a $6.5 million dollar estate in TX until the NY AG looked into it, now working on removing their tax-exempt status (why are they tax exempt anyway??)

can't believe how gullible these rank and file NRA members are...…...Wayne also spent $39,000 shopping at a Beverly Hills men's clothing boutique

Georgia:Ages 12-15

License/Permits – None required, but you can purchase the optional youth sportsman’s license (more on that below)
Deer/Turkey Harvest Log – Yes, if deer or turkey hunting
Migratory Bird Permit – Not Required
Hunter Education – only required if hunting unsupervised

Kids age 12 to 15 have the same requirements as those under 12, EXCEPT that they will need to complete a hunter education course IF they will be hunting unsupervised. If they will be under the “direct supervision” of an adult, then hunter education is NOT required.
Ages 16 & Up

Licenses/Permits – Same as adult
Deer/Turkey Harvest Log – Yes, if deer or turkey hunting
Migratory Bird Permit – Yes, if hunting dove or waterfowl
Hunter Education – Yes, required if born after January 1, 1961

Youth ages 16 and 17 are treated the same as adults and must have all applicable licenses and permits. They are also required to have completed a hunter education course and must carry their hunter education card with them while hunting.

This just goes to prove what I said, that the NRA's true goal is to create markets for gun manufacturers and gun sellers. The NRA does this by pushing lax gun laws that create gun violence, then the NRA uses, this violence, to tell the public that they need guns.

At least 73 juveniles under age 12 were killed last year, roughly the same pace as the previous five years. What happened next varied widely.

A 2017 USA TODAY and Associated Press investigation of the 152 deaths from 2014 to 2016 found about half ended in a criminal charge, usually of adults who police said should have watched children more closely or secured their guns more carefully.

Gun laws do not create violence, the illegal use by gun-owner creates violence. Law abiding gun owners stop violence, every day.

But of course everyone knows that except a few loons on the left.

Irresponsible auto owners leave their keys where their children can get them and are harmed and killed.

"Fewer guns" are not covered by the Second Amendment.

If you don't like guns, don't buy them.

autos are not made to kill people, guns are...…...cars are made for transportation
