SMOLLETT CHICAGO PD LAUNCHES INTERNAL INVESTIGATION

This sums up Smollet perfectly.

I think the gist of the OP was the CPD investigating the loose-lips in the dept. I don't know if that will jeopardize the case against Smollett or not, but probably not. As for the hospital personnel, that's a real problem. I recall a couple decades ago that several nurses and other hospital personnel were fired for leaking to the media that Joe Torre had been treated at a St. Louis hospital for prostate cancer. There were rumors that he was going to sue but I don't know if he did or not.
HIPA is no joke. Nurses get fired every day for something as simple as accessing information about a good friend who happens to be in the hospital, but not a patient of said nurse. There's no leeway there.

I'll check the link

No wonder you're confused, ... you are under the illusion that the Leftist media and jpp libs are trying to heal racial divide. :palm: Nothing could be further from the truth.
I'm not confused about that at all. In fact, you're confused if you think anybody who you consider to be on the Left, believes that there will ever be any healing.

The Left calls out racism, and seeks legal means to end overt acts of it. Unfortunately, we now have a SC that believes the Founders were right w/respect to human rights.

And there shouldn't be. If we want you to trust us with your very lives, the least you should expect in return is that we honor your privacy.

I agree in concept. Something as innocent as hearing that a friend has been brought to the hospital, and checking to see if he/she was admitted, will cost you your job. Or having a patient one day, but not having him/her the next and checking the file to see if they were discharged, are both pretty innocent violations that can get you fired.

In the case at hand, nosy nurses just checked to see if the rumors were true.

Stupid, but illegal.

I'm a little confused here? He perpetrated this, and was as guilty as trump when it comes to stirring a racial divide. There's no link to the story, so I don't know what was leaked, and how it changes anything Smollet did?

When did Trump stage an attack and hire two white guys to perpetrate it while blaming it on blacks?

crooked kops should be the main story......

talk about framing......then they doubled down with excessive counts

what a joke.

Yep ... and Lefty Smollett was trying to keep the myth alive ... with an "overt" act. And now the Democrats are soooo desperate to find ANY OVERT acts of racism ... that they have declared that wearing a red baseball cap ... is an OVERT act of racism. :palm:

And y'all peed yourselves over "hoodies". :palm:

Yeah, that never made any sense.

Do you think the Kamala / Corey connection is a crazy theory? Just wondering. I admit it sounds insane by itself, but the other bits of the story make it seem like it's not that crazy after all. Jussie is Kamala's nephew. The timing of the incident coincides with the legislation push. It should be investigated in my opinion, but I realize it's a crazy theory. There was no need to stage a lynching to promote the law. It would have passed no matter what. Who would vote against it?

Not to derail the thread but is lynching currently legal?
