No one ever asks for an ID. They don't even ID me at my favorite liquor store. The only time you rarely get asked for an ID with groceries is when the credit card name on the back is missing, or faded into being unrecognizable. Besides close to half of groceries, tend to go through something called self checkout these days. Why can't the right ever admit Trump said something loony, and stupid. Not at all. Mandatory voter ID will be a good thing. You have to produce ID to do just about anything, voting should definitely require it.

Those that claim voter ID is a problem have no problem showing an ID for other things. If they buy liquor, they have to show ID, the same ID they'd have to show to vote.

Not all voting regulations, since the Constitution left such things up to the States for the most part, aren't the same.

My State offered the approximately 178,000 people who didn't have a valid ID for it's new voting laws a free ID and a ride to get it. 25 accepted. How many of the other 177,975 then claimed they were being disenfranchised despite the State doing what you say should be done.

I was teasing you. As I said I haven't been asked for ID when making purchases for at least 10 years, except for that unfortunate comp ad experience. The only time my younger kids are asked is when they're buying wine/liquor. The middle kids don't get asked either. They use either cash, credit cards or debit cards, not checks.

Admit it -- Trump made up yet another stupid and foolish claim, based on the fact that it's extremely unlikely that he has *ever* set foot in a grocery store as an adult.
