"Trump claims picture ID is required to buy groceries"

I swear, I just feel bad for you guys.

From the outside, it looks exhausting.

Easy..........copy/paste :awesome:

Yeah...that's it...move the goal posts.

Let's spell all this out 2nd grade style.

Do I need ID for groceries, if I use ...

cash? no

check? yes

debit card? sometimes

credit card? sometimes

"Tuesday made the claim that a photo ID is required to buy groceries as part of his argument for introducing stricter voter ID laws."

“You know if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card,” he said. “You need ID.”

Must be some more of them there "alternative facts" the Trumpkins are always referring to, that illusionary reality

I bet he's never set foot in a grocery store in his life. What a fucktard!

some stores ask, some don't.

Stores do not ask for your ID when buying groceries, unless as Kacper said you are writing a check. In the last 10 years the only time I was asked for a photo ID is when I wanted to use a comp ad at Walmart and the clerk acted like I was trying to personally rip her off. Now Walmart *will* ask for an ID if you order online and choose ship-to-store to pick up there. That's a good thing; wouldn't want to pay for something online and have someone else walk off with it.

Maybe you need to stop looking so dishonest. lol

Well, that's certainly what Trump must have meant - once every 10 years or so.

No matter what, you don't have to show an ID to buy food. You just don't. Don't fall for the deflections.

It is easy to laugh at them, but what if something ever happened we needed to believe what the president said as in a national emergency. It is just sad and not funny.
I don’t know, there’s a lot of people on this Forum who say they do.

Not at all. Mandatory voter ID will be a good thing. You have to produce ID to do just about anything, voting should definitely require it.

I’m with you, just provide all American Citizens with a Voter ID, no different than SS Cards, problem solved.

Next!

That's OK. I was only saying that those are the possibilities that I outlined earlier that occurs in many grocery stores (especially Publix...that's Florida's BIG one). Don't know how something so simple devolved into chaos on here. Those 4 payment types I entered correspond to the USUAL result. They ask for ID with my Discover card at our Mother Earth store, too where I get most of my produce. I don't grocery shop at Walmart or Winn Dixie, so I can't speak for their way.

The scary part is the Trumpsters simply cannot admit he misspoke, made a mistake ect. They simply reconstruct their reality to a point they have to show their IDs to buy groceries. It is a damn cult and Trump is the deity.

It's terrifying. Just look at poor Stretch here. Kind of an apt name right now. She's a nice lady but has completely fallen overboard with defending the POS POTUS. As others have said, it's sad, embarrassing... and scary.

I was teasing you. As I said I haven't been asked for ID when making purchases for at least 10 years, except for that unfortunate comp ad experience. The only time my younger kids are asked is when they're buying wine/liquor. The middle kids don't get asked either. They use either cash, credit cards or debit cards, not checks.

Admit it -- Trump made up yet another stupid and foolish claim, based on the fact that it's extremely unlikely that he has *ever* set foot in a grocery store as an adult.
