Like all despots, he needed to divert attention from Egypt's many problems. He had already hinted at intervening in Syria.
Why not? Syria is a bloodbath.. 1/3 of the population has fled the country.
Like all despots, he needed to divert attention from Egypt's many problems. He had already hinted at intervening in Syria.
You sure are ignorant about the Muslim Brotherhood.
but he's right.....how does that make him ignorant?.....
The history of the MB over the past 50 years is something you have ignored.
You sure are ignorant about the Muslim Brotherhood.
In general I am opposed to the MB in all its variations... but, Morsi wasn't the radical you claim he was... and he didn't "allow" AQ to run rampant in Sinai.
Why on earth do you think he wanted war with Israel?
HO HUM...........
Morsi said Coptic Christians "are certainly just as Egyptian as I am, and have as much a right to this homeland as I do." He said freedom of religion is a right granted by Allah and sharia commands Muslims to respect the rights of non-Muslim compatriots.
Morsi also compared free markets to the Islamic system, but said Islam requires there to be an ethical component to ensure that the poor share in society's wealth
no evidence of terrorism?.....how about the 2013 revolution?.....

They even have a right to pay the dhimi tax.
Right, and I suppose ISIS didn't put a bomb on Metrojet Flight 9268!
Muslim Brotherhood is NOT ISIS.
For their part, jihadists backed Kremlin claims. Affiliates of the Islamic State, the notorious ISIS, boasted of their responsibility for the attack, which seemed plausible since that group is at war with Russia, and their fighters are thick on the ground in the Sinai. Their claim was bolstered in mid-November when ISIS ran a photo of what purported to be the fatal bomb in their online magazine. The next day, the Russian defense minister publicly fingered ISIS fighters in the Sinai as the culprits behind the attack.
The ISIS-did-it narrative was thus firmly established in Moscow and was gaining credence in many quarters, over increasingly diffident objections from an embarrassed Cairo. Middle East events, however, intervened. On November 24, a Turkish Air Force fighter shot down a Russian Su-24 jet bomber on the border with Syria, killing its pilot and setting off a major regional crisis, complete with aggressive bluster on both sides, which has not yet ebbed away.

Yes, trust you to state the bleeding obvious. Morsi just sat back and allowed extremists to run riot over Sinai, how can you deny that?

Your wiki reference cites Saudi Arabia as supporting the MB.. WRONG. MB has always been outlawed in KSA for a number of reasons.
my wiki reference specifically describes the acts of violence and terrorism engaged in by the MB.........obviously you are trying very hard to ignore those acts of violence and terrorism......
The wiki article is completely WRONG.
if I have to choose between whether you or the wiki article is wrong, you lose........your track record here really sucks......
You don't know enough to make that determination.
After Nasser fell out with MB and hanged a few of them some asked for sanctuary in KSA.. and they got it in 1950, but they promise Ibn Saud they would NOT teach MB beliefs of politics.. When they broke their word, they were expelled.
if I have to choose between whether you or the wiki article is wrong, you lose........your track record here really sucks......
You're a comedian today.
I don't give a fuck about 1950.....shucks, people tell me all the time that in 1950 Republicans were Demmycrats........tell me about 2013.......
