The most prominent Texas beer I know of is Shiner. I tried the Shiner Bock at the urging of a Texas native, and wasn't very impressed, but, Rana should look into them.

As to the OP, I really hate stuff like this. Why can't we have a basic respect for the fact that not everyone has to agree on everything? I'm going to buy a case of Yuengling next time I go out. It's actually a pretty good beer, too.

I have heard it is pretty good as well, although I have never tried it.....

I would hope no one would try to corrupt me w/ a case of it, but if you might care to, PM for my address..

When Yuengling owner Richard Yuengling Jr. told Eric Trump on Monday, “Our guys are behind your father,” he likely didn’t predict that he’d soon be facing local bars pulling his beers off tap in protest.

But outrage was swift, and Brian Sims, a Pennsylvania state representative from Philadelphia, quickly called on bars in Philadelphia’s “Gayborhood” to take Yuengling off tap, the New York Times reports. Two bars have agreed so far, and he says he’s going to expand his efforts.

“Everybody understands that the dollars that we now put into the marketplace have the potential to come back at us,” Sims, who is Pennsylvania’s first openly gay legislator, told the Times. “I want my dollars spent in a way that at the very least doesn’t hurt me, and hopefully supports me.”

A bar owner in Washington, D.C. posted a video of himself removing the his Yuengling beer tap, and liberal beer fans on Twitter have said they’d stop drinking the lager in protest.

I don't care who he votes for. I'm gonna drink his beer cause it's a good beer. Not like that Rocky Mountain pisswater.

Personally I don't like hoppy beer.. Browns & real ales, Scottish ales etc..

I like my beer like I like my Republicans. Old and bitter.

One of the annoying things about living in the Pacific NW is that my local brewers all want to drown me in hops. That said, the best selling signature ales are typically not IPAs (like Redhook ESB).

im not a hophead either. Once in a while sort of treat.

Sadly, Yuengling doesn't distribute west of the Mississippi, so I only got to try it when I was down in Florida two years ago (during that JPP Werewolf blowout).

Do they still sell Olympia beer out west?

Sam Adams Octoberfest is a personal favorite of mine.

It's a good Marzen style beer.
