To rival Bush's infamous quote "you're doing a heck of a job Brownie" our head of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano says "the system worked".

People rightfully ripped on Bush for hiring people he shouldn't have like Brown. Obama seems to have that same gift with his hire of this woman Napoliltano. How the hell did she ever get thought of as a candidate for this position?

It's not just her. Look at Geitner. Obama has surrounded himself with losers, because he's a shitty president.

This administration is already failing, highest unemployment ever, home foreclosures, Obamacare, that nobody wants, failure on protecting this country, immigration, and on and on and on.... The whole argument with Brownie and now this lady is about hiring qualified people. This lady has said other things besides this comment that have made people question her abilities. Thus my opening post was not about scoring politicial points but about the quality of people running important departments of our government.

And keeping an incompetent person in charge will cost a whole lot more lives than replacing her with someone who is competent.
 
So Napolitiano saying something stupid is akin to FEMA completely fucking up the Katrina response? Seriously?

And shouldn't the comparison not be between Napolitiano and Brown but between Napolitiano and Bush. Napolitiano said something stupid about how well the government performed in relation to the underpants bomber. Bush said something stupid about how well the government (specifically Brown) performed in relation to the Katrina disaster.

Saying something stupid does not make her unqualified. What about her actual job performance do you have a problem with? Why do you brand her incompetent based on her performance on Sunday talk shows?

Hell, Rumsfeld was fucking brilliant at talking shit on the Sunday shows and wooing the media but he sucked ass at his job.

I actually didn't see Sunday's talk shows. But having seen other interviews with her she came across to me as EDIT: (I left out in over her head) one who got her job because she supported Obama over Hillary in primary. Basically your old school political patronage.

And yes I agree with you that there are people who can come across like they know everything giving you a false confidence that they can actually perform up to the level of their rhetoric.

Actually she fucked up airport security. It was only the incompetence of the terrorist that saved the airliner and passengers.

You're logic on comparing her to Bush escapes me.

Perhaps you could detail for me what she did to "fuck up airport security." No one was claiming that Ashcroft (or whomever) "fucked up airport security" when the show bomber was thwarted in flight for precisely the same type of attack.
 
Napolitano should have NEVER been given this position...she has no QUALIFICATIONS or EXPERICNE in this field...

what the hell does that tell you about this President and what he thinks about our SECURITY..

Let's see how long the Obama supporters will defend this. It didn't take long for Bush supporters to stop trying to defend Brownie...
