Individuals head the UN, not states, Fool.
The election of Faisal bin Hassan Trad to chair a panel of independent experts on the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) follows a barrage of criticism aimed at the Saudi regime over its treatment of minorities and its apparent fondness for capital punishment. Mr Trad, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador at the UN in Geneva, was appointed to the role in June - shortly after the kingdom posted an advert for eight new executioners. UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer described the move as a victory for cheap oil over human rights.
I am sorry but anybody that can defend an organisation that has just appointed a Saudi ambassador to be the head of the Human Rights Council is not playing with a full deck of cards.

You're not an American. You're a degenerate torture-buff with an excreta fetish hiding behind Americans.
Ireland latest EU state to defend BDS
![]()
In another blow to the Israeli campaign to criminalize Palestine solidarity activism, the Irish government has affirmed that the global boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement represents a “legitimate” means of protest “intended to pressure Israel into ending the occupation.”
In the Irish parliament on Thursday, foreign minister Charles Flanagan stated that “while the government does not itself support such a policy,” the BDS movement holds a “legitimate political viewpoint” and that the government does “not agree with attempts to demonize those who advocate this policy.”
Second blow in a week
This is the second major setback Israel has suffered this week to its campaign to delegitimize and criminalize the global movement within the European Union and other Western states.
Ireland is the third EU government to make such a statement in recent months.
Earlier this week, Dutch foreign minister Bert Koenders said that “statements or meetings concerning BDS are protected by freedom of expression and freedom of assembly, as enshrined in the Dutch constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights.”
In March, the Swedish foreign ministry stated that BDS “is a civil society movement. Governments should not interfere in civil society organization views.”
At Israel’s urging, governments in the US, UK, France, Canada and elsewhere are attempting to introduce anti-democratic legislation, and taking other repressive measures to undermine the BDS movement.
Israel has also said that it is using its intelligence services to spy on BDS activists around the world.
Gilad Erdan, the Israeli cabinet minister charged with combating the global movement, described BDS activists as threats, saying they must “pay the price” for their campaign work.

Interesting. We are being forced to buy insurance against our will. Authoritarian lefties weren't bothered by that. But this offends their delicate sensibilities.
Unless, you have to work...no, i need one to defend my constitution and country. most likely from you depraved fucks. so you admit you're coming after our guns now?
Thats no different than a future government ruling that you COULD NOT do business with some person even if you wanted to....idiot
Yet thats exactly what you support.
The appeal is in response to Israel’s attacks on BDS that have led governments in the UK, France, Canada and state legislatures across the US to introduce anti-democratic legislation and taking other repressive measures to undermine the BDS movement.
Israel has also admitted that it is using its intelligence services to spy on BDS activists overseas and is attempting to revoke the residency of BDS movement co-founder and human rights defender Omar Barghouti.
We’re more optimistic than ever that Israel’s desperate legal, spying and propaganda war on our human rights movement will ultimately fail.
Israel’s attacks on our movement appear to be backfiring. They have led to European governments and some of the world’s most famous human rights organisations and political organisations across Europe and the world speaking out in defence of our right to advocate for Palestinian rights through BDS tactics.
The Dutch foreign minister has said that BDS activism is “protected by the freedom of expression”. The Irish foreign minister has said that BDS is a “legitimate political viewpoint” and that his department is monitoring Israel’s repression of BDS movement co-founder Omar Barghouti.
FIDH, the second oldest and arguably the largest coalition of worldwide human rights organizations, has joined Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch in issuing a public statement in support of the right to advocate for BDS.
More than 350 European parties, unions, NGOs and campaign groups have called on the EU to support right to boycott Israel to bring about its compliance with international law.
Our fightback against Israel’s attacks on BDS is having a real impact and may already be turning a corner. Thank you so much for your support.
Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with the BDS movement.
Many thanks,

Israel boycott: 33% of Americans, 40% of Brits in favor, Israeli UN ambassador cries foul
![]()
A third of Americans and 40 percent of those in the UK support boycotting Israel according to a recent poll. The survey has rattled the Israeli ambassador to the UN, who says those favoring the boycott were helping to spread “an ideology of hate.”
The research was conducted by the market research firm Ipsos, which conducted the surveys in the US and the UK. The company was looking to identify attitudes in the two countries towards the movement of boycotting, divestment and sanctions (BDS), which is being implemented against Israel by certain sections of society who are angry at Israel’s unwillingness to discuss a two-state solution with Palestine.
