You Know the Drug War Has Gone Too Far When . . .

Considering I live among them, I have first-hand knowledge. Funny how the Rs would "require" that but don't, while the D's "wouldn't" but do. Dogs are sniffing their asses, but it's all the same.

Don't cry to me when your politicians do what you say they won't, then blame that crap on me. I didn't do it, I wouldn't vote for the people who do this to you, even if they have an "R" by their name. Shoot, all it takes for me not to vote for an R is fiscal irresponsibility.

BTW - How do you reconcile the fight for these kids' individual freedom with your "better for society" approach to other's freedoms?

My friend .. this is me.

Please save the child-speak for others. How about you and I communicating like we both have adult brains.

Are you suggesting that republicans would have a more sane approach to drugs and liberty than democrats?

Are you familiar with the Rockefeller Drug Laws in New York? Was Rockefeller a democrat?

Are you aware the Gov. Patterson there is ending those barbaric dug laws? Is Patterson a republican?

Is it democrats or republicans who are attacking Patterson for his decision?

I live in Georgia .. would you like examples of the republican position on drugs here?

Additionally, I'm not a democrat .. and even if I was, I wouldn't come crying to you. My point was the obvious .. that republicans are NOT better on drug policy than democrats.

PLease reframe your last question because I don't understand what you're asking.

I am saying that in every place that I know republicans live and hold power, nobody is going through this. Even the hispanic (many in our area) and black children do not have to endure what the children do in the inner cities where the Rs hold zero sway. I am saying that it is not my experience that the Rs (who are admittedly against drugs) are for this kind of draconian measure and "zero tolerance" that you get from the other party. In order to fight drugs one does not have to disengage their brains.

If the people in the inner cities want this to end, they must vote out the people who are doing it to them. Otherwise they do it to themselves and often they blame it on "me". They say things like, "Well if we voted for the other party it would be even worse." without regard to the actual solution. Vote for people of the party you want, I have no problem with that. But don't keep voting them in when they'll subject you and yours to this kind of rapine... Vote for people from your party of choice that will promise not to create more of these measures and to work to remove the ones in place and then make them stick to it.

Niggers can't take a joke. That shit was funny. It does show how racist republicans are.
Notice how the fucktard in his natural environment shows how really stupid he is by using terms that only fucktard idiots would use and think it was perfectly acceptable.

There are a lot of pieces to this puzzle than just your personal experience. Start from nobody with half a brain believes republicans promote more civil policies on drugs than democrats .. with the exception of Ron Paul.

People in the inner-cities are trapped in the same mire people all over America are trapped in, the two-party quagmire. Your lesson on who who should vote for applies to every American .. yet, nothing changes because far too few have the real political courage to reject BOTH mainstream parties.

Voting for 3rd parties is just too hard for too many.

But jumping out of the frying pan into the fire is not the answer either.

Almost no other group votes as one effective unit better than that of African Americans. If they want to take control of that government by voting for people who will actually represent what they want, they can like no other group that I know.

Instead I get, "It's all your fault, because it doesn't matter that I can't come up with a republican-led community that is stripping its citizens bare to look for legal drugs, it only matters that I can try to keep blaming republicans for the actions of the people that they are voting for."

What in the hell are you talking about?

I haven't blamed republicans for this, nor have I said "it's all your fault." I blamed BOTH parties for it, and I always have.

You made the assertion that people in the inner-cities need to vote out democrats because of the war on drugs; ie war on black people.

I made the irrefutable counter that republicans aren't any better, in fact, they're worse on drug policy than are democrats.

And, in fact, African-Americans did come together to elect someone who they believe will bring sanity to the issue. I don't share that belief, but I do expect that whatever policy Obama adapts on drugs will be a damn sight better than what repoublicans will have to offer.

One more time BAC. If you don't like Democrats stripping your children naked and searching for drugs, stop voting for the ones that will continue to allow that. It's not like you have to vote for Rs, find the Ds that will do what you want and vote for them.

I keep hearing excuses about how "Rs would be worse", it doesn't have to be Rs, vote for Ds that will do what you want them to. In the places where this takes place they have the power to make those changes, yet continue to support those that do it to them at a rate of 90% or more.

"Rs would be worse" is not an excuse, it is an attempt to spread the blame. Either the African Americans in those communities do not think as you do, or they have been fooled by a party to think that this is the "best they can do".

There is far more power to stop this in your communities at the local level than Obama will be able to effect. Why are they not putting forward and supporting the candidates that will turn this around? I know that I wouldn't vote for somebody that would do this to you and yours, but I also know that they have.

Stop excusing the D party by attempting to point at the Rs and say how "worse" they are, that isn't an excuse it's a confession. "They do it too" is never a good excuse.

This is a really good point.
