Yeah, I don't get it. I think you and I were or are both on DP. Those moderators are harsh. That might be a reason to try to employ socks. But here on JPP, it seems like you can say almost anything without consequences, so why anyone would bother to create multiple accounts is beyond me. Those people need some additional hobbies.

A ministry of truth implies a government agency. I'm thinking that social media platforms and others should police themselves and fact-check everyone. Maybe not so much regular ppl like us, but when they have users in positions of authority. Politicians, those who hold themselves out as professionals, etc. Example: I post on my Facebook that I think that COVID isn't really that serious. That's an individual's opinion. But if I state that I am a nurse, and "COVID isn't that bad; you don't need to social distance or wear a mask," I would expect that FB should fact-check me.

exactly. I left dp because redress is a child porn advocate, his anime avatars he once put one really young looking sexualized anime girl more so than the usual stuff, it turned out it wasn't from some mainstream anime source but a far more nefarious one that was all about underage girls being raped and was very graphic.... it was sick. my complaints about it made me persona non grata there even though I once bailed that plaice out monetarily from going under.


here, if there is no real threat to being banned for normal snark and name calling assholery why make a sock? lol

It actually blows my mind. I think I understand people and psychology well enough to be effective, but I am still amused by those people who create multiple accounts on an anonymous internet site and then talk to themselves. How disappointing must one life's be to take that time?

I agree. If a person is so lonely that they need to create multiple internet accounts to talk to themselves, then that person should probably branch out and try to find some real life activities. Also, Redress is an asshole.

Then the US government should not allow the creation of a sub culture which abridges our rights without requiring the hi tech entities to create a free speech version which allows the people to choose whether they want a censored version or a free version.

TV and Radio broadcasters have to broadcast in the public interest if they intend to use the public airwaves. They must prove that they have done so with every FCC license renewal or their license can be revoked.

The hi tech giants show how wise the government was in the past by making the broadcasters serve the public's interest and not just their own.

When the internet was created and when any and all of the devices were created to use the internet, these bright boys and girls should have been made to acknowledge that their doing business required they not abridge our 1st Amendment rights or they would not be allowed to do their business at all.

Trump's initial lack of an adequate response and lack of effective leadership has caused the COVID pandemic to stretch further on than it ever should have which in turn has caused more damage to he economy than it should have. This is a verifiable FACT.
