Yes - The SAT test has been dumbed down tremendously. Probably to help the "protected classes."

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
I asked co-pilot -" what percentile ranking is a score of 1400 on the SAT test.? And what was the percentile ranking of 1400 in 1970 and also 1990." Here is their answer:

  • Today (2025): A score of 1400 on the SAT is around the 94th percentile, meaning you scored higher than about 94% of test takers.
  • 1970: A 1400 would have been well above the 99th percentile, since the average combined score was about 1049 (537 verbal + 512 math).
  • 1990: A 1400 was also above the 99th percentile, as the average combined score was about 1001 (500 verbal + 501 math
Why was this done? You know why. To help all the blacks and illegals and other non-whites.

To say that the test has been dumbed down is to say that it has been made easier. Likely this is true as year by year our youth learn less and less, with a particularly high loss during the pandemic which was never recovered....but the opening post does not speak about that.

You seem like a high school drop out.

Reasons the SAT may be easier
  • Digital and adaptive: The digital format is shorter and less stressful, while the adaptive nature of the test means students who answer early questions correctly are given harder questions, and those who struggle are given easier ones.
  • Less vocabulary focus: The test no longer requires memorization of obscure vocabulary words; instead, it uses words in relevant, contextual situations.
  • Shorter passages: Reading passages are significantly shorter, with a greater emphasis on the skills needed for college and career.
  • More time per question: The new structure provides more time for students to answer each question.

How do you know anything was done? Just because folks are scoring better doesn't mean the test was dumbed down.

And if it was, why are you so sure it wasn't to help the JD Vances of the Appalachians or a buncha Missouri crack heads?

No. It was done because our public education system is for shit. The US has one of the worst public education systems in the First World.

Is it any wonder that parents are increasingly going to alternatives to public education in the US?

That's what diversity gets you. All these third world sewer kids in our schools are making a mess of the schools. To non-whites school is just free food and free day care. Their goal is to go on welfare so why learn stuff?. And then there is the fact that arithmetic has been phased out since blacks are so bad at it.

It's far more a case of bureaucrats and unions...
