Yep, gay marriage will definitely ruin the institution of marriage </sarcasm>

Rationalist

Hail Voltaire
"Well, that didn't take long. TMZ is reporting that after only 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian is going to file for divorce from her Minnesota-raised husband Kris Humphries sometime today. Humphries played basketball for the University of Minnesota Gophers and grew up in Hopkins.

The reality TV show starlet and professional basketball player's nuptials made for a two-night special that recently aired on E! And by the way Humphries was treated on the show, it should come as no surprise that the two aren't living happily ever after."

I wonder if Newt ever made that argument about the institution of Marriage.

Unfortunately you cannot avoid the Kardashians. True definition of media whores. These two met and wed within six months? This never had a chance.

I know a very happy couple that married 12 days after they met, they have been married 23 years now.

So liberal Hollywood culture treats the institution of marriage like it's toilet paper, so society should flush the institution down the toilet?

Were they media whores like the Kardashians who lived their life in the public eye and always have to be making news to keep themselves relevent?

I better go and file, I forgot that there were gay people getting married somewhere and that it was destroying all marriages everywhere. Those selfish people, them.

Hollywood? From the backwoods of Mississippi, to the lakes of Michigan, straight folks marry and divorce like changing clothes, but want to get their panties in a wad when gays or lesbians suggest doing the exact same thing. Such hypocrisy warrants exposure. Except, from what I've seen, gay and lesbian relationships tend to be more stable and long lasting.

The point is that its not about who can and cant get married to eachother that matters, its how the individuals treat the institution that upholds it or not.

Liberals have been attacking marriage for decades; again, that's not an argument to justify additional attacks. Do you have any evidence to justify your last sentence? :)

Since we're talking about an institution honored by society because of the benefits that it gives society, the issue is how society treats the institution.

Do you have any evidence that Liberals have been attacking marriage for decades?

Are you denying that Hollywood culture is liberal?

1) Hollywood has nothing to do with it, you said Liberals have been attacking marriage, you did not say Hollywood has been attacking marriage.
2) Hollywood has not been attacking marriage.
3) Parts of Hollywood are liberal and parts are conservative, just like any other segment of society.

Hollywood has nothing to do with it, you said Liberals have been attacking marriage, you did not say Hollywood has been attacking marriage.
Actually, here's what I said:

So liberal Hollywood culture treats the institution of marriage like it's toilet paper, so society should flush the institution down the toilet?

Liberal Hollywood has been attacking marriage by treating it as disposable for decades.
