Does he actually have to say he'd suspend the Constitution or are you talking about people who propose policies which in effect suspend the Constitution? For example...requiring banks to report transactions above a certain threshold set by the feds of course...Free speech zones...Fed oversight of local property zoning....I could go on and on.

Those are based on different interpretations of the constitution, not suspending it.

It was definitely unconstitutional but wrong is a different matter. I could see an argument for an overabundance of caution given they had no idea how much infiltration the enemy might have had in America society. And I could also see the argument that Japanese Americans had given us no reason to think they were the enemy.

My problem isn't about the possible "suspension" of the constitution that's just a leftist anti trump talking point. My problem is I have to listen to you whine about the "possibility" while you favor the actual violation of rights explicitly stated in the constitution. That's not even considering how you fabricate rights out of thin air from the constitution
