It would be nice if the Republican Party were still the party of Poppy Bush,Colin Powell, Brent Scowcroft. But Powell and Bush were supposedly voting for Democratic presidential tickets in recent years.

I voted for Nixon, too. And Reagan twice as well as Bush jr.
Like I said, I'm not voting for anybody with an (R) after their name until they've cleaned out the Republiclowns from Congress.

Agreed. Newt helped change all of that and the Republican Party has been steering hard right ever since.

Parties change over time.

The 19th century Democratic party was a party of limited government, populism, states rights.

While the 19th Republican party had socially progressive tendencies, culminating with the progressivism of Teddy Roosevelt.

It wasn't until Woodrow Wilson that the Democratic party became a party of liberal, activist government.

The parties basically almost swapped places from the 19th to 20th centuries.

Rashida is my congresswoman. I have talked to her many times. I was at a picnic with her a couple of weeks ago. She is intelligent, thoughtful and works for the people. Pelosi is the best Leader the house has had. She organized and controlled the Dems perfectly. She knows how to run the house. I do not like Maxine. I hear she is very abusive to her staff.
They are all way above you in intelligence and accomplishments.

Pelosi is a walking talking idiot. Pelosi did keep the Dems voting together. Rashida is a moron boy does she ever have you fooled. :laugh:. Maxine is a scam artist. She does not even live in the district she represents. Hank Johnson is still waiting for Guam to flip over.
 
This is exactly the same thing as the idiots who insisted on calling Obama "Hussein" instead of Barack and it underlines that there is no amount of racism from the left that will not be enjoyed and supported by the left. Even if it is exactly the same thing that they were so "offended" by from folks on the "other side". (It is my considered belief that racism has only one side, the ugly one, it also often smells like athletes foot fungus, it always lowers the collective IQ of wherever it is displayed, and like steroids it shrinks the phallus and frontal lobes of all who use it).
