Worst president of Modern Times.....

As Grant said in his autobiography "any politician who votes against a war that is coming, does so at the risk of their career" The fact that some reluctantly went along does not mean they were enthusiastic backers like the rightys. How many politicians actully took a chance for voting against it.

It simply means they spinlessly went along to save their careers.

Congrats she admitted it was a mistake. For as bad of an event as you claim it to be you still supported two candidates who voted for it.

Sadly this is true, those who went along with it were better choices than those who led it.

you will not accept any evidence, but here is some. http://inthesetimes.com/article/193...ls-and-businesses-planned-on-dividing-the-spo It was about money as the 100 rules of Bremer made clear.

The oil business HATES a war zone and all the oilmen and Arabs opposed Bush's invasion.. In fact it killed Iraq's oil production for a decade. Contrary to what most people believe neither Dubya or Cheney were oilmen. Add in Blair and you have the three stooges.

From your link....

"Iraq’s oil-producing capacity was especially coveted. “With proved reserves of 112.5 billion barrels of oil (10.7 percent of world reserves) Iraq is second only to Saudi Arabia in terms of remaining oil reserves,” read another note to Manning from an unnamed junior official from Trade Partners UK (TPUK), a government department aimed at promoting British exports. The note also pointed out that the amount of yet-to-find reserves in Iraq “is unmatched anywhere in the world.”

Kerry and Clinton were the only options Democrat’s had for President? You couldn’t find a qualified candidate who didn’t vote for the war?

Jimmy Carter was clearly the worst.

Carter had bad intelligence. The Americans in Iran were too close to the Shah.. basically in the inner circle. They were blindsided by the revolution.. Never saw it coming. Their last report to Washington was that the Pahlavi dynasty was good for a thousand years more.

Back then even Democrats knew that Socialists like Bernie Sanders were not right in the head. No way they would have let him run as a Democrat.

He was a micro-manager in foreign policy too, and constantly making bad decisions. Then there was the US economy, with home mortgage rates approaching credit card rates.

I did not vote for either in the primaries.

My fellow Democrats are not me.

I don't think so, but then I listened to the Americans who worked for the Shah and reported to the WH.

Still better than Bush and those he sent to die needlessly.

I know so, having lived through that era. We used to cash our paychecks then run to the store before the prices went up. Every month we all cut a cut in pay. Carter was worse than The Obama if that is possible.

Sounds to me like you hate decency.

As the 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter struggled to respond to formidable challenges, including a major energy crisis as well as high inflation and unemployment. In the foreign affairs arena, he reopened U.S. relations with China and made headway with efforts to broker peace in the historic Arab-Israeli conflict, but was damaged late in his term by a hostage crisis in Iran.

Carter’s diagnosis of the nation’s “crisis of confidence” did little to boost his sagging popularity, and in 1980 he was soundly defeated in the general election by Ronald Reagan. Over the next decades, Carter built a distinguished career as a diplomat, humanitarian and author, pursuing conflict resolution in countries around the globe.
