I’m all for requiring to show ID to vote. The reality though is it’s already illegal for people who aren’t here legally to vote.

It’s not just a felony, it can mean prison and deportation. You’d really have to want to risk everything just to vote, which is why cases of illegals voting are so rare.

Or we rarely catch them because in places like California the powers that be aren't interested in catching them.

Well living in NY we have had to have photo ID, or other excepted ID, a voter registration card on file, sign papers where they compare your signature to the one they have on file and more. And it has been that way for years and years , I don't remember not having to have this stuff and I have been voting for well over 55 years.

In October 2024, the DA’s office was contacted by the Orange County Registrar of Voters’ Office after a resident allegedly self-reported that she registered her dog to vote. The resident claimed that she cast a mail-in ballot addressed to her dog, Maya, for the 2021 gubernatorial recall election and the 2022 primary election.

“The dog’s vote was successfully counted in the 2021 gubernatorial recall election but was rejected in the 2022 primary,” the press release states...

....According to the press release, Yourex allegedly posted on her social media a picture of her dog in January 2022 “wearing an ‘I voted’ sticker and posing with her ballot.” An additional photo was allegedly posted on Yourex’s social media in October 2024, showing her dog’s tag and a vote-by-mail ballot with the caption, “maya is still getting her ballot,” despite the dog having previously passed away.

Thank you, appreciate it. Hope you are well. I actually thought of you, a guy I know and used to work with just moved from San Francisco to your area. He’s sending his kids to Caroll High.

As far as voting even in California they’ve had audits and court cases which have shown they do enforced the law when cases come up.

I am all for being vigilant against voting fraud. But I go back to all data showing how rare it is.

And I’ll even throw this out from an ROI perspective. Since all most people really care about is the presidential election democrats usually win California by about 5 million votes. So to risk going to prison or getting deported to cast a boat that changes absolutely nothing is a very high risk proposition.

And as much as Democrats do dominate California, there are still Republicans here. The idea that the state would allow millions of illegals to register and vote and keep it hush-hush without any Republicans in the state knowing about it or exposing it doesn’t really pass the sniff test.
