What is the legacy? That concert set new bounds and open new venues for new and better music. It was a model for hundreds of fund raising concerts like BandAid and FarmAid. And it launched the careers of several stars.

The fact that people were naked, playing in the mud and having sex is not the point of Woodstock.

The thing with Woodstock was it was one of the first of it's kind. They grossly underestimated the turnout and the resources and sanitary facilities needed to accommodate such a large influx of people (400,000)

Yes...there was.localized damage to the property of Max Yasgur. But there were virtually no acts of violence and people behaved like human beings even though the conditions were deplorable.

I think the OP was attempting to slam those people, but the truth of the matter was that it was a huge and successful experiment in the tolerance of like.minded people to work together for the common good.

Something Conservatives don't really care for.
