women's lives sacrificed in fight against abortion - planned parenthood

how about women who've gotten abortions from PP and died from the complications?.......

do you have a link to the statistics for such?

imo, deaths from such are far lower than deaths from proper medical procedures, it is the back room butchers that used to kill off women, that and neglect from inadequate or nonexistent medical care

pp provides for prenatal and post natal care improving the odds for the mother and child

only 3% of services provided by pp are abortions, the rest is providing medical care for women and children, so the logic of deleting their funding escapes me

And the Koolade tastes just a good as always

similar numbers of women die from legal abortions today than died from illegal abortions in the years immediately prior to Roe v Wade......both numbers are in the less than 200 range.....as I recall, PP performs around half the abortions that occur in the US......making them stop killing the unborn would not prevent them from doing the other 97% of what they do........

the logic of deleting any funding for abortions should be obvious.......it's funding for abortions......

how do you propose controlling the use of monies donated or otherwise provided to pp so as to delete their ability to perform abortions

also, is it your claim that just as many women die from abortions performed by pp as by back alley butchers?

first of all, they could create two separate entities, one to save lives and the other to take them......second, since PP is the primary provider of abortions in this country, it is logical that PP is involved in the primary share of deaths from legal abortions in this country........and yes, since very few women actually died at the hands of "back alley butchers", and since the statistics from the CDC bear out the premise, as many women die from legal abortions as died from illegal abortions prior to Roe v Wade........unless you want to go back to pre-penicillin statistics, when as many women died from childbirth as did from abortion........

Back alley is where the entrance they used for the doctor's office, not where the abortions were performed. The single largest improvement to the survival rate was the invention and introduction of penicillin. Antibiotics are what were necessary to make it "safe" (for one of the patients at least). There is this image people have of dudes with coat hangers hanging out in alleys... it wasn't the case. Illegal abortions were almost invariably performed by doctors who let the patients in the back door and kept the abortion off the official books. Infection was the largest killer, but antibiotics changed that. Even while abortions were still illegal the death rate of the women (of course with the progeny it was still 100%) dropped drastically to an almost even level with the death rate today...

I remember when you were a legitimate poster......

i assumed that when you referred to the pregnant woman's actions that you were referring to her having sex hence the comment

women get pregnant due to have sex whether protected or unprotected

sometime contraceptives fail and an unwanted pregnancy occurs

or do you think that sex is for procreation only

your statement is ambiguous

The anti-life gang doesn't care about women's behavior prior to pregnancy.

Or they prefer the smaller, less intrusive gov't your ilk always crows about but doesn't seem to actually want.

i disagree with your major premise that abortions take lives

first of all, it wasn't my statement; second, the statement was about anti-lifers not pregnant women; third, your excuse is lame.....

because the unborn are already dead.....Long Live Science!.......by the way, nothing in the statement you quoted referred to the fetus.....I'm talking about dead mothers......everyone already knows the unborn child doesn't leave the PP clinic alive.....
