Women don't know how to use tools and fix things, survive by cooking

Then it should also be easy for you. Unless it's not true.

You sound like one of those cubicle dwelling engineers. Never get out in the field to see what is actually happening out there. How you try that first zipper head?

Now come the insults and ridiculous accusations- big surprise there. My career puts me in the field most days. My hobbies are all hands on as well, fixing stuff that others can't do as well.

What insult? If your career puts you in the field most days, it is impossible for you not to have seen women in the trades or engineering.

Can't even acknowledge your insult? That's typical.

It's rare to see a woman contractor or mechanic in my travels. Engineers- even rarer. And very few architects. I have women friends that are "car gals" that rely on men, solely, to keep them running. It's disappointing, really, because I really like women, the way they look, the way they smell...

I can and often do home repairs! My dad made sure I could change a tire and I watch YouTube videos to learn other things, before that, I went to the library.
Wow, changing a tire is hard. And to diagnose that it needs changing! You should be very proud.

Few and far between in construction, automotive repair, and engineering. These fields are naturally male. Are you denying this?
Like Sailor said, the times are changing and you will be seeing more females in these occupations.

You and I definitely travel in different parts of the country and world then. I see plenty of women engineers, in the trades and just about every job out there. Once again, that was not an insult, probably more like spot on.

THey were lucky to have all that food on board. But the fact that they couldn't fix either the engine (probably swallowed water) or the sail equipment proves incompetence in a man's world.

What..................................Anyone who figures out how to survive 5 months adrift is genius. Though I would have put up the sail, read the chart and headed for the nearest land, if not my home port

Your inability to take responsibility for your own writing says a lot about you.
