MAYBE SHE SAID 'NO'
A nurse and mother of three from the Seattle area who went on an online date has disappeared, according to friends and neighbors now begging for help on social media.
Neighbors of 40-year-old Ingrid Lyne said they knew something was wrong when she didn't show up Saturday morning to pick up her children, Q13 Fox reports. Her grey 2015 Toyota Highlander SUV is also missing.
Friends say they've tried and failed to contact the man who apparently took her on the date, KIRO adds. Police refused to say whether he's a suspect in her disappearance.
It's unclear which dating site Lyne used. Her three daughters are now with a family friend, according to reports.
"The purse, the telephone and everything was in the house," neighbor Edward Franceschina told Q13 Fox, saying she was checking her mail the last time he saw her, on Friday afternoon. The baseball game she reportedly planned to attend was the Mariners home opener.
Police broke through the front door of her home in Renton Saturday to look for clues, KIRO reports. "It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood and a pretty quiet cul-de-sac so it was a little weird to see all the police activity," neighbor Dawn Early said.
Seattle's nonprofit Swedish Medical Center confirmed Lyne was an employee. It's working to help Renton police with their search, a spokesperson said.
Seattle police say they're assisting in the investigation as well. Renton is 11 miles southeast of downtown Seattle.
Police say her SUV has Washington license plates with the number AUW 3230.
